  1. its an 87 model these stickers are very brittle how do i get them off with out messing up my fenders?
  2. i'm going to try that.i'm scared i'll blow it up if i run it like that for long,it acts like it going to twist out of its mind,it just keeps pulling.i'll run it till i think it can't stand no more and check the plugs like you said,this is my first banshee i really don't know what kind of rpms it can take?
  3. thanks,i'm going to napa tomorrow and get a hone i gravity bled the brakes just like you all said it worked good but the brakes are still soft so i'll hone the cylinder and go from there,its got to be the master cylinder.
  4. i dont know if this means anything or not but i just looked in the manual and it said in bold black letters do not hone the cylinder!but this may be so they can sell more of them,has anybody actually honed one there self?if so i'll stop at napa and pick up a hone.
  5. no i didn't , i'm going to try gravity bleeding them if that doesn't work i'll hone the cylinder,is there a special tool to hone with or what do i use?
  6. i looked at my plugs and i can't tell what's going on they dont have any color on the base around the strap that comes out over the ceramic,but the strap has a chocolate brown color to it. i may not be riding it long enough i'm limited in space i've got about 100 yards to ride it wide open, what do you think?
  7. i've been having trouble with my front brakes,i put new pads on and bled the lines by taking a tube from the bleeder screw to the resevior and pumping the brake lever until the fluid runs clear with no air bubbles,and i also rebuilt the master cylinder, i can't figure it out?it takes like four pulls to get brakes!
  8. someone told me at the motor sport shop when my main jetting was getting to big it would not rev out clean to the top. i started at 210 and i'm up to 330's and it still runs like crazy should i keep putting bigger jets in? the bike has a 2 into 1 pipe on it, pro flow filter kit,no air box lid,80 over,boysen reeds, and namura pistons.

  14. ive been rejetting this is a new engine and new bike to me ive got a 2 into 1 pipe stock carbs and its 80 over with namura pistons i started with 210 mains i jumped to 300 mains and it really helped the top end i think i can go bigger because it still revs clean to the top but when im in 2nd gear and pin the throttle it takes to long for the power to come on,it idles great,i notice it studders @ 1/4 throttle to about 1/2 throttle when i'm just putting around i've moved the jet needle clip down a notch i think it could be a little rich,it smokes a lot when i'm between 1/4 and1/2 throttle what do you think i should do ?
  15. ive just got it broke in i checked my plugs to make sure it was not lean i have not really ran it wot to check my main jet yet thanks for the heads up on the jetting its my first banshee

  17. thanks i see what your talking about ive got them drilled and tapped and i took some off the nipple,it looks good
  18. i bought a twist throttle and idle kit and it didnt come with instructions on where to drill and tap the carbs anyone help?
  19. yeah i got a banshee i might be interested in trading u ive just got it built its a 87 model white n red depends on what kind of shape that tecate in.

  23. whats the deal with the idle screws why do u have to drill out the carbs? i really liked the one on my 250r !
