  1. Maybe im an idiot but, if you increase the bore size you increase the area. By increasing the area you also increase the amount of air in the cylinder. With more air you will need more fuel to keep the correct A/F mixture. I also run 32:1
  2. Welcome to HQ!

  7. Do a search on this subject. A while back someone posted the Napa numbers for the bearing and seals for the carrier. May be something to look into. Possibly cheaper and closer to home.
  8. The darker the color the better the coverage. I made several passes with white to cover mine. grey and blue is what i started with also. Make sure you try to make the scratches and big dings as smooth as possible by wet sanding.
  9. i agree! Got to tell the truth man! Thats funny shit
  10. WTF! Does that come with free social security for life too?
  11. Just like anything else, you get what you put into it. I painted my plastic the first time and it looked ok. i ended up wet sanding it and painting it again because the white showed every little bump or imperfection that was in it. After the wet sand with 600 and wiped it down with rubbing alcohol. it turned out pretty good. I let the plastic pieces sit in the spare bedroom for about a week before i put it on. The hunter green I used on the tank pieces turned out really well. Use slow even coats or it comes out looking like shit. The over spray is a killer with that stuff. thats my .02
  12. if you got any questions pm me. I just did mine
  13. They all look sweet. I like number 3.
  14. I went to harbor freight and got a $65 bench buffer with wheels on it. went to home depot and got some polish for $3 dollars. I used to do it all by hand. as far as imo that was some of the best money i have ever spent! Nothing against you Eric im sure you stuff is awsome. i have heard good things about the work you do.
  15. I do agree. I just thought it was funny. First post and talking shit already! I cut both my front and rear with my dremel and sanded it smooth. turned out very nice. Not saying that I dont want to buy fullbore plastic but its not in the budget at this time.
  16. you are correct it does tee off and tie into the other vent lines. i just have heard of guys wanting to silicone the hole closed. Imo thats not a good plan.
  17. Dont hold anything back, tell us how you really feel!!!
  18. I got a small can of enviormentaly challenged paint stripper from ace hardware. That shit is nasty but it works really well. Its very thick gel like stuff. and like regal said, scrub it before you put water on it.
  19. that little hose is your case vent. dont plug it off.
  20. I would go with the head too. Double check your elevation before you chose dome size. I went with 20's at 1900ft. Im pushing the pump gas threshold at 158psi
  21. chuck norris can squeeze orange juice from a banana
  22. I thought i understood that you couldn't mess up the plug wires due to a wasted spark system?
  23. They sure look the same. I would think it would work. but I looked up the part numbers and found that they differ by a few numbers.
  24. thanks for the encouragement. I nutted up and did it last night. went without a hitch. runs perfect no leaks. looks nice too! Cold compression with stock bore and stroke and 20cc domes at 1800ft. tester seats at about half the plug hole. 147-149 sound about right? pre coolhead was 116-119
