my ported 350 with bolt ons dont dry up bowls on stock carbs or 28mm mikunis / maybe the pingle valve is clogged up a little i highly doubt a stock engine with bolt ons needs enough fuel to empty the bowls / pingle valve in the tank and fuel line clogged? try new plugs? clogged air filter? what u have for filter setup if its airbox take lid off and run it off the bigger carbs need more air
if u put it together u have to use yamaha bond to seal cases together and tighten bolts in order there are #s on the cases which is the order u tighten them its pretty easy i just followed the manual when i did it / id have engine checked out also because it was torn down probably for a reason see if crank spins freely and check rod bearings
ok i just got a set of cylinders with 68mm big bore sleeves already pressed in and was wondering if anyone who has installed these has had to do some porting to line up the transfers holes in the sleeve to the jugs???? mine dont line up 30% of my transfer holes are plugged by the jug but intake and exhaust line up perfect both cylinders look the same / im not sure which brand 404 it is either / any help is appreciated
x2 on getting new cases if u want to fix it right i think it would cost me more to have the old cases welded than get new cases anyway there like $100 bucks used and i hate when i have to fix the same problem twice
ive had good luck with any steel sprocket just not aluminum and dont over tighten the chain normally i get sunstar sprockets and they usually last forever and there inexpensive
80-90 is some thick oil i always use 10w-30 in both my banshees and my buddys shee and never had any problems and also heard that synthetic will make ur clutch slip for cold weather id use 5w-30
the service manual says use 10W-30 also
my buddy but straight pipes on fmf no silencers and said it gained power and it ran just fine all summer but it probably just sounded faster but wont hurt the engine
i have a 2000 kx250 im looking to trade for a banshee the kx has tag fat bars and bills pipe header and pro circuit silencer and its located in watertown ny 13601 reach me at [email protected]
