  1. banshee right cylinder for sale, i think its stock bore, i will get it measured tomorrow, but its ready to go, no rust, perfect shape. asking $100 $15 for shipping
  2. thanks guys, and no, i only paid $215 for them both and that came with a head and used pistons. so can i sand that down to get the scratches out, or just leave them?
  3. alright, so im somewhat new here, i had a 94 rm125 and was spotless and good looking, found a banshee with a seized motor and i just couldnt pass it up. so i traded him and got $180 out of him. now thanks to banshee hq, ive found tons of parts for cheap and great advice! it was recommended i splitted the cases so i finally decided to after some talking around, so i got the rebuild vid from nitrotate (thanks man!) (the farthest id ever gone was putting a top end in my rm125) and man am i glad i did! the pieces that came off of the piston had made themselves down into the crank and melted themselves to the bearings, those things were ticking time bombs! so i ended up buying a new, welded crank (ebay), and 2 .90 over cylidners with a head (here). splitting the cases was extremely simple and just saved me incredible amounts of money! thank you so much guys! one question though, i have some scratches on my case (take a look in the pic) where the crank and piston pieces met, is that ok? i dont see it hurting anything. thanks again guys! and on the ole rm125...
  4. thanks dude, im probably not going to go heavy into modding, but you will never wish you were less safe when it comes to an engine
  5. thanks guys, anybody know what size this makes it? i will definitely re-sleeve next time
  6. thanks dude, just bought one
  7. just bought a welded crankshaft and two .90 over cylinders. first question, is .90 over unsafe? are the walls too thin? also, i just buy pistons labeled .90 over pistons right? btw, what cc does this make it? thanks.
  8. will any stock banshee crankshaft fit in any banshee? and what are the advantages of a welded one?

    flywheel puller

thanks guys, but i got it thought i would share a good story with you, i walk into the bike shop and ask if they will pull my flywheel for me since i didnt want to wait for the puller to come in. so this huge guy comes and grabs my motor with 1 hand! and sets in on the bench, he pulls it for me, and even digs the key out. so i go up to the counter and ask how much i owe them so the guy says... "you plan on buying any more parts here?" i said "yeah" so he says "well, then its free" that was awesome i thought!

    flywheel puller

dont care about condition as long as its functional, must be the one for the banshee, not a 3 arm one. anybody? need cheap!
  12. thanks! what is it? a bearing of some kind?
  13. alright, heres where about 2 hours has gotten me i had turned the engine on its side when i was going to pull the flywheel, and a little ball fell out of the other side. look at the rod with the paper towel in it, is that where it came from? i hope so, because thats where i put it, lol.
  14. well, it certainly couldnt be more irritating than the damn 3 arm one
  15. i would have to say yfz. everybody i know at the track has had 100,000,000 problems with their trx not mine, but almost was
  16. thanks guys! ill run up to Yamaha tomorrow and see if they have one
  17. thats what i thought, alright thanks guys. i better stop messing around then before i ruin it
  18. just wanted to know if you guys used a regular flywheel puller, or the yamaha puller
  19. no, im talking about dirt sticking to the oil in your intake tract
  20. ive never been happy with either of them. put a coat of oil in your intake tract. after a day of riding, pull off your filter and see if any dirt stuck to the coat of oil. properly oiled k&n's and uni's failed this test. twin air and no toil did the best
  21. most people use kerosene, but i was going to buy a jug of wd40 you dont really want to use any oil because the dirt will stick to it
  22. i did  no, i was only asking because i found a real cheap one on ebay that was bored to 66.25. the cylinder isnt worth messing with. i really dont think ill find anything when i split the cases, but i sure will feel better knowing there isnt, plus ill have all new gaskets and such
  23. ya, im ordering a manual and gaskets right now, i will split the cases as soon as i find that vid
  24. well, ive never really split the cases by myself, but i may give it a try because it looks simple on this thing, but damn, you know how much money this is going to cost? anybody have a vid or how-to on how to split the cases on a banshee?
  25. lol, sorry, i meant 87
