  1. Oh hell if thats the measurment system were using its probably the spring out of the kickstart lever.
  2. Post up a pic. Is it the spring that protects the lower radiator hose?
  3. Bold choice! Pics when you can please.
  4. I have no idea of long term damage. Maybe do a compression test. But it looks to me all you can do is drain the tank and get the right gas and oil mix in it and see how it runs. My guess is you have not done any damage.
  5. Did it look like this . Sounds like the same thing that happened to me. I think what caused my problems was a missing lock nut on the clutch rod adjuster. If you find something let us know.
  6. IMO only if you are going in after something else.
  7. I have only rode my bike once since doing the shift star mod myself. I don't feel any difference. Didn't hurt anything tho. FAST had a modded shift shaft that is going to be my next attemp at making this thing shift better.
  8. That's a bad ass bike you'll miss it man. Get it running and take a ride before you make up your mind.
  9. Can't wait to see the write up very interesting tread.
  10. I used 3/8 lexan. It is a little to thick but I had it around. I cut the hole out with a jigsaw and trimmed it up with a burr on a diegrinder. Glued it in with black silicone.
  11. Banshee Bandit and Dmcbanshee thanks for the inspiration on this mod! Looks really cool. Now I need a billet w/p cover.
  12. Here is a nice price on a W/P cover if your into polishing. Ebay
  13. 300 mains sounds close but I would recommend 27.5 pilots. Good luck and welcome to the site.
  14. I use an air chiesel to remove the old one and a piece of pipe over the end to beat the new one on. Hope this helps.
  15. Fuel lines or vents?
  16. I use these directions to post pics works great. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=98228 I dig that green frame.
  17. Well I can't find that nut anywhere even looked in the pan under the engine. I am for sure it is to big to get into the rest of the transmission. Right now I think the prior owner may have left it out. I did notice while I was looking for missing pieces that the W/P gear was cracked so I will get one before I put it back together. Thanks for the help guys.
  18. I think u may be right is it #12 in this drawing If it is I have more trouble I never found #13 is 13 a jam nut?
  19. Heres pics of what happened to the clutch. The thing on the right is a clutch spring bolt. Just trying to give an idea of the size of the washer I cant identify.
  20. Hi guys I found this washer under my clutch cover after a major clutch failure. I originally thought it was a clutch spring bolts washer but they are all accounted for. Any help will be appreciated I have been all over the shop manual and cant find a home for it.
  21. My expierence has been if the carbs are not perfectly in sync one side will miss. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=95025
  22. I would grind more off and try to sync it the best you can.
  23. Stick a finger in the carb and adjust the screw you should feel it start to move up. Think I ground mine to 18mm. Do you have the slides in the correct sides?
  24. Do the idle screws touch the throttle valve? I had to grind a lot off my carbs to get the screws to raise the throttle. Also pilot screw has a lot to do with right off idle power mess with the screws it is pretty easy to tell when you are going the right direction.
  25. Good to here this isn't normal. I have only had this bike 6 months but I promise it will go back together with a torque wrench for sure. What happens to the basket? Looks like a good time to do the shift star mod I'll be in touch after I get the pieces from Fastrthnu
