What would be better for overall open filed trail/ ohv road riding? An aftermarket Hot Rods crank with c.k. 121 bearings (not sure about the c.k. numbers) Or a stock crank that has been trued and welded
-
Got my top end off for a rebuild and I noticed that the left rod/ or stator side rod on the crankshaft has more play than the right side. It doesn't move up and down it just has a little more left and right play than the right/clutch side....Is this normal or should they both be tight? It seems like they both shoul;d hve the same amount of play

What does a cooldhead really do for u.

Dude no bullshitin ... whoever said I was is a fucktard You'll have more bite and pep/low end to your bike when you change domes. and with your mods now, you need a better cooling system. You will feel the power when you change domes.. but back to your original statement...I would run 21cc's or 20cc's but you gotta tell us your elevation and then we can let you know if you can run those domes on 93 pump gas...but more than likey you will need a race fuel mix -

The higher the compression the more bite your bike will have like instead of power wheeling up to 3rd ... you can power wheelie up to 5th and 6th...you will have more over all grunt and bottom end to your bike with the aftermarket heads, but the higher the compression you go like above 150-160ish you should run race fuel or higher octane -

Depends on your elevation, but 21cc or 20cc is the most popular. They give you 70% better cooling over stock and the lower cc you go in the domes gives you higher compression. But with higher compression you need higher octane to avoid detonation -
LOL Yeah you got me good as hell then
-
Gotta shaved stock head professionally done, has a few scuffs but doesnt affect performance. Ran great on 91 octane pm me thanx I'm lookin for a 41 or 40 t sprocke tso maybe we can work something out

You know the dimple where you put your needle nose pliers to get the circlip out right? My circlip iss not covering the dimple so I cant get it out. My last top end had a faulty circlip which lead to cylinder damage. I wanna get the circlip out and replace it or at least turn it
-
I bought a used top end and one of the piston's circlip is not covering the dimple in the piston. I mean the circlip is in it's groove it just has the opening in the same spot as the piston opening, and I can't get it out. I took the p[iston needle/pin and put pressure on the clip making sure that it wont give because if the circlip gives the crank will push the pin into my cylinder walls and that's what happend with my last top end. What should I do no matter how hard I push, the pin doesn't push through the circlip...should it be fine? He said it came off a good running bike and the walls/piston look good and bore is tight. Also what is the best way to get a stud back in it's hole. I think the threads are stripped.

He has 3 so after I get it, you guys can get the parts and his number. He's an old guy in Mobile
-
Here are the pics, he has the tank plastics, motor clutch everything for what I think is under $250, he wants 300 for a tri-z in a box he has like 12 but Im gonna do a yz250 ypvs swap are these frames worth 75 buckz?
-
He says he has every part to build AT LEAST 12 trikes .... I put pics of the roller in this forum they are under TRI-Z pics. I have a question for you, will a yz 250 motor go straight in the trike?
-
Here's the Z I talked to him today and he said he has enought o build AT LEAST 12 trikes, and he qould sell me fenders, radiatiors, tank engine seat everything to make her go for $300 Now I'm going to get one maybe 2 for $500
-
That sounds good! I wonder what changes I would have to make for the motor to fit. I gotta good buddy who has made some kickass motor mounts for swaps. If you ran that setup would you run 2 in 1 on everything..carb/intake even exhaust? that sure would wig some of my buddies out not knowing what they're racing

I have an opportunity to buy what he says is an 85 and 1/2 Yamaha Tri-z three wheeler. It is the frame (straight), exhaust, cases, crank, really good wheels and tires(worth 100 bucks) He wants $150 for everything (include a box full of spare parts) I dont know much about these and I dont even know if they make and 85 and 1/2, but I do know that they can haul ass. I bought my shee for 500 bucks and I have completely restored it myself .....from wheels to handlebars and EVERYthing in between! I was over my head with the shee project but you guys on BHQ saved me time and time again with great resolutions to my problems.... with that said how hard is it to build this machine? Are parts rare? This sounds like a no brainer but the Tri-Z is a couple hours away. I think I should make a weekend trip outta going to get it ... haven't told my ol lady yet ... she says I drag more shit home than our dog! But give me some feedback fellas ... is it gonna cost me out the wazoo to bring her back?
