  1. fo shitz and giggles, you may want to look into your coil, stator, and grounds too. even with the difference, it should be able to burn every bit of 300's above 115psi, with your mods. also, have the chambers measured in the head. if it was "milled" on a belt planer, rather than cut on a mill, the cut will be tapered tward the leading edge when placedd on the machine. this could cause the head to have different size chambers
  2. 14/41 stock, you should be around 300-320, and maybey 27.5 pilots. could they be 240's ? that's pretty much dealership jetting. they prefer "power jetting" over proper tuning i'm running 14/40, and 22/12/9's and it tops out about 80mph. does fine on the trails too.
  3. torco gp-7. 40:1 right now, but it changes with jet size. more fuel= less oil. 210's are tiny! only 1 size over stock.
  4. i think it helps keeps the junk and water from sucking into the pilot jet, and running through the larger passage of the main instead
  5. the bushings may have been replaced, using bolts to put it back together.
  6. i was actually thinkin about that last night. how hard was it to get them out? i don't wanna sand too much. buffer's down fo da count, so mostly hand, die grinder, and maybey a mothers ball
  7. u could send em to me  then i'll adjust the floats. the probably just got outa adjustment when you cleaned them
  8. 20 psi is a big difference, meaning new topend, usually. did you hold the throttle wide open, and kick like 15 times, untill the needle stops moving? also, check the reeds.
  9. that's why i was confused, because all thy are is an overflow, but some sat they don't have them. that must be why some fill the case when it overfills
  10. click me
  11. is that a bump? port match cases/ blaster reeds
  12. that's up to you. noss's new head utilizes the stock studs to eliminate the headache of changing them, if i remember correctly. they are a good price, and i have heard nothing but good about them either. on top of that, they offer bhq discount too. i baught a ptr powerhead, but that's because i went used instead of new. think i'd probably went noss new
  13. there is an elevation finder pinned in the jetting section, but i think that's around sea level to 500+ i would suggest 21cc domes, +4, and don't forget to get your jetting right when you do. after you do that, ride it around, and get a feel for the kind of power it has. then you can decide where you want the power to change if you are going to port
  14. what is your elevation? what fuel are you running? the timing is set back so that you can run the lowest grade fuel, and not detonate, but some of the burn is wasted out of the exhaust. igniting it sooner allows the burn to develope more by the time it's used for the downstroke. on the other hand, if too soon, it can detonate and cause serious damage. the majic number seems to be +4 for most, and is one of the best power per doolar mods. the plate is like 35 bucks, and i've never heard anyone complain.
  15. first, i would look into your jetting. it should not bog. i am geared up to 14/40 with 22's and have no problem at all starting in 2nd, and hill climb in 4th and 3rd
  16. +4 timing and a cool head
  17. when you have the impellar cover off, give it a good twist back and forth. it's put under a little torque at higher rpm's. what coolant/ratio did you put in? new? i would do a plug chop run to check the mains.
  18. i think that's an o-ring popped out  would be nice to have the desc. of what we're looking for. black on black is not too revealing. and i have heard of it. is there a chip broke off the edge, or something?
  19. x2. i run through it fastest on hill shots, only fmf pipes, no snorkel, and jetted for around 0 degrees @ sea level. i've got <2 hours max, and that's babying it for 10 min on reserve. i think the oversized tanks are gaughty, so i.m looking into a fuel cell maybey
  20. imo, you should run them both on the same trail, jettin accodingly, and decide which one you like on the trails. aside from the gnarly being made for low-mid power, you may like the feel of the fatty, so give em both a good test
  21. i would check your cap and coolant condition. make sure the impellar is pumping good
  22. both plugs are oily? at first i would think a crank seal, if only one side was oily and smoking. but first, i would check the simple stuff. check the coil, caps& wires, stator pickup gap, and bad fuel/oil. did it recently get alot warmer out?
  23. kinda defeats the point of a banshee, but not a bad price
  24. put the carrier on a stand or block and spin the wheels to see if the axle owheel is bent. when mu friend rode in front of me, i noticed that min is quite off, but i have 22's and htey don't shake when i'm running at high speeds off road, mostly because it's working the terrain as well. 1/4" toe out, means that the front of the tires are 1/4" rurther apart than the rear of the tires.
  25. the needle tips are hardened most likely. i normally just buy new float needles, even before they start to leak. wanna part with your old carier?
