  1. Do you still have these? Will you ship? What would shipping be to 49107 - Buchanan, MI
  2. All the snow we're getting this year and nobody wants these?
  3. Well that I haven't heard yet.... Who makes the best stator?
  4. Thanks for your help AK and everyone else.... I'll check those pickup gaps. If they're on, I'll just live with one smokin pipe at idle. Seemed to run good under power, just was worried I wasn't getting everything it could potentially produce. Guess I'll find that out at the dunes & drags this summer.... Can't wait!! Just wish there was someone local like FAST or RDZ that I could have tune it for me, o well I'll just do the best I can. JD from JDScustoms has been helping a lot too, he's the one that did the initial tune for me.... Great guy by the way, does great work too. Thanks again for everyone's help!!!!
  5. I haven't checked the gaps, but both plugs are firing perfectly.... should I still check it? I'll list all my mods: A&S stage III port A&S shaved head-not sure how much Lightened Flywheel +4 timing Fresh bore 40 over Wiseco Pistons Pro Design intake with a boost bottle(i know, i know...Like I said, new to Banshees) VF2 Reeds(bought used) 34mm Alky PJ's K&N Pods RDZ inframes Welded/Trued Crank ....not sure if any of this will make a difference, but I though I should list it just in case.
  6. tested the compression.... only have 120 on both sides. I'm kind of new to banshees, but that sounds way low, especially for my mods
  7. Bought the motor from a pretty reputable guy, he sells a lot of stuff on here and he said everything was tight. I'm trying to come up with a compression tester, I'll let you guys know what I come up with there.
  8. I shouldn't have said mint, that implies that they are perfect, I apologize for that. They are very good reliable sleds for the money though and are in great condition for their age. Wouldn't be afraid to hit the trails on either of these. Thanks again for looking!!
  9. These carbs were pulled off of a great running shee and put immediately on mine. I actually have raw alcohol(so I know its getting alky) and some smoke coming out of the right tail pipe, just nothing even close to what the left pipe is doing.
  10. Ya, my old motor was doing the same thing and when I tore it down to part it out, the piston, rings and cylinder looked perfect. I will check the compression on it anyway and look at the reeds. How can you tell if the reeds need replaced? It seems like I read somewhere that the V Force reeds can be installed with one side up for top end and the other side up for bottom end, is this accurate? Thanks for all the help guys!!!!
  11. Thanks for the suggestion, ya the tank is full of alky. We checked through the carbs, floats, etc. before installing.
  12. actually no, I bought some used VF2's
  13. To make a long story short.... My Fiance HATES me!! Bought over the summer for $2800 and since have put $2000+ into it and something tells me I'm just getting started. I wanna go fast
  14. I had a buddy of mine sync and tune them for me, he's a lot better with carbs than I am, I'm assuming its right.
  15. I have seen several similar posts to this, but this is very strange. I have nothing coming from my right side tail pipe at idle and at times not even when it's revved. The left tail pipe gets hot several minutes before the right side even gets warm. Now for the strange part.... This is a complete engine assembly that I just installed a week ago, the old engine was doing the exact same thing! I tried new spark plugs, that wasn't the problem. Then I tried swapping the plug wires, still the same problem. Does anyone have any ideas of what I should look for? I mean this has to be an engine/carb issue, and by the way these are new carbs too. Given the fact that I swapped the plug wires and still had the same issue, it can't be a spark problem. HELP!!
  16. Ya, sorry about not posting pics yet.... They're in the shop at work. I'll try to get them on here tomorrow.
  17. Ya, I'm really wanting to go with a lighter color like bright silver or gray.... the Special Edition looks cool though
  18. Up for sale is a 1987 Yamaha Exciter LC 570 in near mint condition and a 1988 Yamaha Phazer also near mint with electric start, just needs a new seat. Seat is still usable, just has a tear in it. Both sleds have very low miles and would make great sleds for someone. They were ridden only on Northern Michigan trails and have actually been in storage for several years. They were taken out last month and gone through by a local Yamaha dealer(North End Cycle). Both just needed carbs cleaned, but went ahead and had all carbs rebuilt. We are looking for $1,000obo for the Exciter and $800obo for the Phazer. Please let me know if at all interested.... Can also send pictures upon request. Thanks For Lookin!!
  19. Ya man, mine are like brand new.... just wanting to try a different color for a while. Thanks for posting though!
  20. PM Sent
  21. I'm selling a basically brand new Pro-Design intake. I tuned the bike with it on and rode it once, that is the extent of its use. Selling simply because I want to move on to one without a boost bottle. Will work with V Force Cages. Will leave it here for a couple days, then going to Ebay. PM me if interested. $150
  22. If anyone has a decent set of Silver or Gray race cut plastics to trade for the same in black, please let me know.
  23. Pro-Design intake no longer available.... Now have used but clean Duncan Racing intake for sale. Any interest in any of this, let me know. It's all gotta go!
  24. All put together and rippen, I wasn't sure what to expect from this motor.... but damn it's fast! Good thing I had help or I'd have been screwed.... Thanks JD!!
  25. Thanks for all the help guys.... I've had a buddy of mine trying to help me with this and have looked at all of the above, still can't get it. Decided to move on and bought a set of 34mm PJ Alky's from 87sheerips and we're throwing em on tonight.... wish me luck!
