  1. 5-7 gallons?...... thats it? i have to bring atleast 10 gallons every weekend i go out. . same here and i wouldnt have it any other way. i would rather ride my banshee and get shitty gas mileage then ride a 4 poke any day of the week.
  2. T5's, shearers or cpi's
  3. the sound is pretty close to the same. the main difference is that T5's respond better to porting then T6's do. so if you plan on having your cylinders ported then go with the T5's. if you just plan on only using bolt-ons (filter, cool head, adj. timing plate, etc..... )then run T6's.
  4. not to be a dick, but i think you need to read up a little more on preformance mods before you try and give advice. advancing your timing more than 5 degrees isnt going to blow your motor, theres a reason you can advance and retard it 10 degrees. also, boost bottles dont do anything for performance. and chill on the exclamation marks!!!!!!!!! lol technyne, like drewski suggested, do some searching/reading. theres loads of info on here that'll help you figure out what will work well with the type of riding you do. to start you off, i would suggest buying an adjustable timing plate and running it at +4 degrees. depending on how deep your pockets are you can buy a cool head and throw in a set of smaller domes (the smaller you go the higher your compression will be and the higher octane fuel you will need to run) or you can just have your stock head milled. and as for the bog on bottem end, theres no need to buy a bigger carb, all you need to do is change your jetting. oh and, welcome to BHQ!!
  5. stating that these walmart lights are better than trail techs is a bit of an exaggeration.
  6. same here. looks tight though.
  7. theres quite a few videos of a turbo banshee up on youtube from darmstr921 (the guy who made the video you posted a link to). heres a couple turbo banshee videos for you ---
  8. i shipped my cylinders out to kevin around this same time last year and got them back within 10 days.
  9. looks tight!... pun intended.
  10. still need to know what your mods are?(pipes, filter(s), reeds, timing, cool/milled head...etc..) as potpye said, make sure your carbs are synced. the problem you are having sounds similar to that of others that just had theyre cylinders ported and it turned out to be carbs that werent 100% synced.
  11. so i got a little impatient waiting for a response 'cause i couldnt wait to finally get these set up soooo......i went ahead and rigged them up on my own. and by the sounds of it, i wired mine up the same way you did yours. thanks again for the help guys!
  12. yup, cut 'em off. its the same with V Force III's
  13. alright fellas, i got the lights all mounted up now i just need a little help eith the wiring. did you guys use any of the wiring that came with the lights or did you rig up something else? and did you guys utilize the stock light plugs or do a little splicing? pictures would be nice. thanks DP
  14. nice bike man. diggin the duck colors! im thinkin you need a set of aftermarket black a-arms. it would fit the black theme you got goin.
  15. thats a pretty damn good point!
  16. amsoil saber 80:1 for me. after 2 years havent had a prolbem.
  17. i was always under the impression that the ltr's were closere then trx 450's to the bottom of the totem pole when it came to power. and when all i had on my bike was gnarleys, k&n's & +4 timing i wasnt having any problems taking care of ltr's. idk, maybe it was just rider ability that was lacking, but of all the 450's that ive raced the ltr seemed to be one of the easier to keep up with. (note that any racing i do is in sand dunes and isnt just straight line drag racing) and MARINE, i still cant believe you parted such a sick bike out but, once you get that 450 modded with full exhaust, cam, filter and a rev box it should be able to hold its own against anything you put it up against. also, if you decide to get it ported then as okbeast suggested i would hit up racers edge.
  18. i got a spair cross over tube with your name on it. if your interested pm me.
  19. lol, you put dune runners and sand stars together.
  20. pics no worky. try photobucket.
  21. now i feel like a real idiot. i thought i needed to replace the smaller bulb inside the light. back to lowes i go..lol
  22. so i just picked up a set of the walmart lights and a couple of 35w bulbs to replace the 50w ones that come with them and i cant figure out how to get to the bulbs themselves. i have them taken apart but the bulbs are like sealed in. i feel like an idiot.lol. seems like it should be a simple thing to do.
  23. im pretty sure the r6 shock is used for flat tracking as it makes the ride height a little lower and stiffer.
  24. a hip a hop a hibby? lol, reminds me of bigdaddy (w/adam sandler) --- "heep?.....heep-hop?......heeep-hop-anonymous?" --rob schneider haha, atleast this time the little fella was makin fun of himself.
  25. i used to run mohawks and i wasnt impressed with them either. a couple years back i switched dune runners and they worked pretty well, a lot better then the mohawks anyways. then i found the itp sandstar front tires, damn do they turn well. they wont work as well when drag racing, but when hittin some fast trails their second to none! my .02.
