yah we should all go back to that hill again. it starts out on top of a revine then you go down into the revine then back up the other side. it was a blast with two of us imagine if there were about 12 shees lined up across there..... cannot wait.

very sorry to hear that. just out of curiousity why no headlights on the truck? or was the cop wrong about that? -
i get some stuff from carquest called rust seal. its about $20 a pint and you can thin it out and spray it with a gun or you can actually brush it on and its supposed to look good. ive painted two sets of a arms with it and havent scratched it yet. mdhc500 was right on about prep work. it can be tedious but if you want it to hold up then you have to take your time. ive never seen a rattlecan paint that would hold up on a arms unless you only ride sand dunes or something

im wondering if the cable didnt somehow disconnect from the slide. its a longshot but for it to not have much exhaust out one side seems like its not getting air. im sure you woulda noticed the slide not moving though. maybe a broken reed

ill watch the see while your in jail.....

i think your ok as long as its not way too rich. just take it easy through the first tank of gas
-
i would check the flywheel and stator. ive had a lot of experience with flywheels coming loose, keyways shearing off, and stators coming lose on these things. did you run it without gas cap on? maybe youi can take air tube off back of carbs and see if its really dieing out due to lack of fuel or maybe something else. good luck

sign me up. im good with either week but id rather go for sat. the 11th so my buddy jugriggs can go. lets make it happen, its usually just the two of us and itd be nice to ride with a whole chit load of shees
-
ive heard you have to tickle charge those things the first time. dunno if thats true or not. btw whered you get a shee with a battery
-
I went with jugriggs and we had a pretty good time. that is a very nice operation all the way around. we are so used to haspin and how primitive things are there that we were shocked at how professional and updated that the badlands are. we will deffinately try to go back before the years up. between the time we spent tweaking the quads and trying to cool off from the heat we didnt get to ride near enough to see all the trails and dunes.

if your parking brake mechanism is still intact then thats probably whats keeping the piston from going all the way in. so if it is stil on there take it off and get a block off plate but dont keep trying to push the piston in because youll brake something. as for the bleeding you should b able to get them blead out if you just keep doing it, if not you may need a mighty vac. a lot of times if the pads get worn down so thin then all your brake fluid will be in the line and caliper so theres not enough in the reservoir for the brakes to work. i bet once you get the new pads on your brakes will work fine as long as yoiu havent opened the system up at all

i thought id heard that 87-90 had the j arms. i am probably wrong though. i looked up the motor last night and its a 89 also so that would make sense that the 89's didnt have j arms. thanks

so i just traded a 86 honda 250r for this supposed 02 shee. i knew immediately that it wasnt an 02 when i saw it by the age that it showed but its still a pretty good looking quad with a fair amount of money in it so i went for it. first thing i did when i got it home was check the comp and then checked the vin to see what year it really was. the 10th digit is a k which would mean its a 89. but what i dont understand is this thing has normal a arms top and bottom on both sides. they are as stock as any arms ive seen on a shee with no aftermarket upgrade kit welded in or anything like that. anyone ran into this before and what is going on? i dont really care that much about the year other than getting agrivated at liars saying a quad is a certain year when its not, but i would like to know. thanks in advance
-
sweet looking quad man, very nice and clean. on a side note do you guys like running just the pegs without the metal heal guards? i cant afford nerfs or aftermarket ones and mine are looking rough, seems like it would be best to just take them off. not trying to steal the thread

i bought the magnum lever for my 250r and its a great deal for the money.
