stock metal head gasket
bansheesickness replied to bansheesickness's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
thanks for the info guys, i think that the cool head with the orings are the way to go. i talked to the owner of pro design and he said i could resue them as long as they dont have any tears or gouges in them. i guess people do it all the time when changeing domes out. -
idd say magurra because ive never had a problem with them and its all i have used
-
even at 50:1 oil is dripping out the exaust.
-
sounds like the left cyclnder isnt fireing, try new plug. also make shure the pilot and main jets are clean. sync the carbs if they are not allready done. there is some good info on syncing carbs do a search
-
well first if you messed with the idle, start there and adjust it untill it idles right. i would also make shure you didnt dissconect anything while you were taking out the needels. there is a little 3 inch black tube that connects the choke from each carb, and check the wires that go to the TORS
-
ill give that a try, and i just had those covers off about a week ago. next time ill check thanks for the tip
-
i use pro design cool head so im not familar with stock head gasket and my friend just bought a shee and he was wondering if you take of the head can you reuse the head metal gasket>
-
i dont know exactly what its called but it is an alunimum piece that botls on the lower mount of shock my wifes bike had one when i bought it, it has like 4 or 5 holes that allow you to move the shock mount which drops the rear end.
-
there is a little black 3 inch or so tube that goes between the two carbs and connects the chokes together, then you have the fuel line y it just comes from tank and goes to each carb, the ones that look oarngeish or some maybe a brown color are just vent lines, they just go between the frame and swingarm, just route them so they point down other than that i dont remeber any other tubes

bansheesickness replied to Snopczynski's topic in General Banshee Discussion
they make paddles for those? lol -
ya ive been deling with chris, hes a nice guy and very helfull, he said they are making the stingers longer now and hes gonna send me some new longer ones, they are just wating on getting some back form the chrome shop havent mentioned the t5s yet but i will tomorrow
-
i have to of these on two differnt quads and mine did the same thing, when you reved it up it would reset. called trail tech and they said to get a new battery. looks likea watch batery the number i beleve is cr2032 got mine at an auto part store, but radio shack or kmart or target any electronic store will have it.. after i changed batery it fixed the problem
-
ya the bolts are to far away. and thanks Snopczynski for the measurement. mine measure 18 and a shy half that extra half an inch would probably work. it seems as if i allwas get the short end of the stick. check this out, i just bought a set of csfx's for my wifes shee which has t5s and no joke but when i put them on they are allmost an inch long. i cant win the stingers are pushed all the way on the pipes and i have the hangers loose in front. no matter what i try im off a inch. it sounds like im a dumb ass and have no clue what im doing, but this is not the case. it should be a simple add on but nooooo. when i layed them out next to my t5 silencers they are an inch long. first i come up sort now im an inch long. normaly thats a good thing but no in this case. at least i can cut the stingers down and make em fit. may need a sludge hammer, it will fix just about anything
-
where exactly is the clutch adjusment screw you are talking about? on the handel bar clutch perch? i know how to adjust it there but i thought it was the only place you can adjust it.
-
its was wierd, i just switch my and my wifes shees over to 110 and they both started leaking allmost at the same time. and they have never leaked on me. ones an 02 other 03
-
yeah mine started leaking as soon as i put race fuel in it. i just ordered the orings off the internet on a dicount yamaha site, they were like 5 or 10 bucks if i remember
-
they are mids. and i dont know if they are the same as the highs

a gorup of 4 guys on yfz 450s were on this hill climb/ treeshoot in coos bay and they were trying it over and over again and coulndt make it up. they all had pipes and paddles, just didnt have enough power. my wife goes down and trys the hill on here STOCK shee with t5s and makes it first try. they were so pissed, it was funny. they are glorified 400exs if you ask me, shure they are light and good for trail or a track bike but in the sand they just dont impress me whatsoever
-
i dont know what else i might be doing wrong. i have the upper bolts loose on the hangers and the 3 springs are on the front of the pipes. the pipes are pushed all the way up to the exhaust flange. and no matter how i push, move or twist the pipes i cant get the stingers to match up with the pipes. the stingers only bolt on one way to the silencers. i have cubbs on my bike but i assume that all the specs are the same as to a stock cyclnder. the bike has never been rolled and nothing is bent. i have no clue

Adjustible timing plate question.
bansheesickness replied to pabansheematt's topic in General Banshee Discussion
so is trinitys adjustable timing plate crap? cause i have two of them and just curious if i should expect problems with them. -
yeah both are the same amount off. the stingers meausre 18.5 form end to end. anyone have any stingers they can measure for me. they have to be cascades csfx silencers and stingers though. they are soposed to get some more stingers in this week and the guy is gonna measure them for me, and see if i got the wrong ones. this sucks i paid a grand for these and they dont fit. the chrome is freakin nuts, never seen such a shine before now that im happy with

Adjustible timing plate question.
bansheesickness replied to pabansheematt's topic in General Banshee Discussion
ive got 2 of trinitys timing plates and i like them. it adjusts the pick up only. the whole plate doenst adjust, it gets mounted via the three holes and you undo 2 small allens and move the pickup to the desiered degrees. -
no i havent fix it yet, cascade says there is no hangers in the rear. it just bolts directly to frame this is how far its off

i use speed shifting allot on hill climbs in coos bay oregon. some hills you start in first and if you stay in first you are going way to slow and my not make it up, and somtimes the second you lose when pulling in the clutch you may lose momentum. ive done it a couple of and had to back down the hill. its not allway neccesary to shift with out a cultch but ive found it helfull quite a few times. like going around trees or objects then shifting right after. its propably bad to but like you said the trannys are pretty tough. i am constaly slaming it down a gear into a corner or vis versa out of a corner up shiftiing quick and just getting on the trottle. i dont leasurely ride very much so my shee take some abuse and so far it has put up with me. one time i was watching someone do a hill climb in the sand and when he up shifted while going up the hill, he took a lil longer to shift and it threw him in a wheele and back on himself rather then keeping his momentum up this hill. so its not for everyone but i like it
