    I agree with firebanshee. It sounds like you are talking about the piston ring locators that hold the ring gaps in a set place so they don't get turned over top of the other and loss compression. Can you post up a pic? Was it on the intake side or exhaust? There should be two pins one in each piston ring groove.

    I'm terrible with names but I'm sure I'd know you if I seen you then. I miss racing fat boys bike that was a good time. I find someone to load those pics. Do you by chance have any old pics from drag racing? Tim has lost all the pics he had and I have misplaced mine. I'd love to have a pic of Tims old bike.

    How do you know it's lean? Have you checked the plug color. I think I'm running the same as you with a similar setup but at 1500 ft. Mine is perfect.

    I only use mine to start and stop. That's it. I have had no issue with my tranny from not using the clutch.

    I haven't seen him since I stopped drag racing about 6 years ago. His bike was always fast. Brian, Herley and myself were always racing each other when we ran with the Wolfe Bros.

    Did you or the shop do a leak down to make sure you don't have any leaks? Leaking head gasket on that side? Bad bore? Forgot to put the rings on that piston? I don't know your mechanical ability so I'm not trying to be a dick.
