    That's funny shit, I just dropped my monoblock off to the welder today to have the intake "bridge" welded back in it......damn wang rod snapped and took out the cylinder wall.

    Is carrier housing warped from welding? I can turn the carrier down.....but I won't guarantee it not to slip inside a warped carrier housing. I have turned one of these before to remove chain rash on both the sprocket end and the offset center section.....that was a fun setup in the lathe.

    I don't see the capabilities of the tig listed. How heavy of steel can it weld? Will it tig aluminum?

    snapped a rod.....but I am pretty sure it will need a complete rebuild at this point. Was in an alky motor. I have brand 4 brand new hot rods crank bearings and 1 brand new rod kit. Was going to rebuild it but ended up getting a great deal on a ready to run crank.

    I have a couple as well.....one I made. I think its half what a normal 4 mill plate is and the other is a standard 4 mill plate.

    I have a 4mm....too lazy to go take pics or come up with a price at the moment though.

    The domes I cut on my little craftsman lathe back in the day are 10x's better than that garbage. I have hacked domes and stuck them back in to see where my compression was at.......but then I cc'd them and threw them in the scrap pile.

    I think most guys use .058 chromoly, I used .065 when I front halfed my bike. If you plan to use DOM.....then I dunno.
