ok now my dads been riding bikes for years and back in the yee ol days he tore the tranny out of a yamaha motorcycle. but he wasnt abusing the piss out of it (or so he says) ever sinse then he has been completely biased tward anything yamaha so he hates banshees all the people that he knows that have ever had one have had lots of trouble because they abuse it and dont take care of it. so i want all your oppinions on the banshee trans and motor for relability as far as 2 strokes. ive never had any trouble with the ones ive been on and around. so thats mine.

if your in a real hurry then what ive had to do is get a helicoil kit a drill the basterd out and do the helicoils. ive done this to an air cooled head and it worked great. youd need a new stud one way or another. but if you can get it out without destroying the threads thats def the way to go. :thumbsup: sounds like you got it raped so make sure the threads that are left are strong and will hold a new sud eithout stripping. i done that before and thats when i did the heilicoils. ride it like you stole it baby, i wish i could come with you! :thumbsup:

yep been lookin but the situation with the parents is a problem ill have to store it at my buddes place. no big deal tho. buds cousin had a bad ass shee toatally built for street racin.

im havin a sittle confusion with a couple of my bikes i think it might be jetting. one is a 250R atc that will run fine but untill it gets hot it wont hit powerband in gear. get the same problem with a 50cc honda moped is it a jetting thing or mayby a mix thing (the atc is runnin 40:1 and the moped is runnin on an injector) or could it be a common thing? .......mayby just because thyre shitty hondas?

for now im gonna say i could come up with $500 if sombodys got a real pile the want to get rid of..i dont like transmissions though that is my limit.

sry forgot to mention i wouldnt have even that kind of money until later this summer. no shit thats a good one ....if only thats awsome sombody with money could have another bike for cheap ...that guys gonna get robbed!

i borrowed a coolant system pressure tester from my neighbor and i can get it into the danger range and still no leaks. it also hasent gotten that hot sinse that day so i sorta feel ok but a little weary. i had coolant system problemes with a snowmobile once and thats how i found the blown head gasket. unfortunatly it was too late i already blew a hole in one of my pistons. (that wasnt the only factor though it was the oil injector lines got old and came off!)

i foun 2 that are pretty simalar tere mostly stock , both have toomy pipes and one has a set of k&n filters and there both about 2500 you think thats good deal (i dont have the money right now but im tring to get a feel for what to look for.)

i mostly ride on dirt roads back where i live and in the fields when they arent planted im i the only person that does this. turnin a gravel corner and slidin it is pretty fun :biggrin:

there is on the other hand a real wealth of information onthis side and i got to hand it to you dudes you know damm well what your doin. :thumbsup:

like it said im lookin to buy a shee and im lookin at sumpthin mostly stock as my budget is only about $2300 if sombodys got all the parts for one and would like to sell it like a kit let me know.

the cylendrs R makin about 130 psi with the bike hot it seemes to be the same on eatch side. im pretty sure that the reason it overheated is that i was runnin too hard cause i didnt really find anything loose or generaly not looking right...like wot doun the road.( not a gook IDA) thanks man great advice i never would have thought of lookin through the exaust :thumbsup:

I would love to sell mine and fall into this category im lookin for a good price i might have 2500 by the end of the dummer if ya wanna sell. but im gussin ya got waaayyy more than that in your bike. i have a bunch of parts that if you put them all together it may make a banshee. id be interested in buildin one if you want to sell me the parts for one all together, ... i could come up with some extra parts that ya might not have to sell to make a complete bike. :shrug:

just like it says i overheated my bike to the point of siesure and need advice. i was a few miles from home and overheated i let it set and cool doun with the plugs out untill icould turn it over by hand and it seemed free and i diddnt hear any metal in the motor grinding and then i put em in and it seemed to make good compression so i fired it up and it seemed ok so i rode it home. i need advice on some good ways to see if and how bad it was hurt, id like to keep the motor together but i guess if i really need to i can pull the top end off and look. also whaty should i look for if ido this?

i wanna know how many guys and gals on the hq dont actually have a shee. :cool:
