sorry to here about this, you sure someones not tring to mess with ya. locks are very easy to bust. ill give every one here a little advice on locks if you all want it. im in the military we have to bust locks every day the hardes lock ive seen to bust is a master lock with a 1/8 " steel plate welded so that the actuall loop part of the lock was covered all the way down to the base of the lock so no one could get a bar into in or strike down at the lock with a hammerit that darn sleave worked very well well hope this will help out some one keep there investment safe. but real glad your thiefs werent all that smart. keep riding man and hope them fuc..... get whats coming to them take it easy -

got the parts for a awsome build waiting on me to get back from iraq this winter. Now to get the nerve to do it. Im not sure when to do this build yet. Its stock 89 jarm banshee. Still runs like new. Its got a fresh bore. 40 over Hears my hold up, besides not being there to do it yet. The moter is broke in well but low low hours. Ive bought a bunch of stuff for this engine all ready. to include new pistons and rings. vito's 4 mill 110 rod crank phate head with 21 cc 4mm milled domes trinity cvc 2 into 1 with 35mm carb billit impeller adjustable timing plate the new piston ring combo is the superstoke set from vitos. i think it has just wescos in it now fatty pipe and powercore2 works front shocks and the goodies to put it all together. I guess my question is what do i need to do to my cylinders for the new pistons and rings. or should i continue using the old? By the way none of these parts are installed yet, shes only had a finger in her as far as any mods to her. after 18+ years shes about to have her cherry popped. so she needs to enjoy it. its a little nerve rackining when there still running. what you all think? take her all the way or give her alittle time.

Ok guys been working with the search on this sight. I think some main key words would help out alot of people. These are some subjects ive been searching and the key words ive had to use to find the best results for that search if any one else would care to add to this list it might be helpful for the sight. Ive been looking for information on engine rebuilding. Ive got my best results from the word crank. this key word helps on information on 4 mill cranks, true and welding, installation, problems and some break down help. a few other help full search words are head, and the word port or porting. for preformance mod information. I have only been using this sight for about 2 months now and there is a lot of good and bad info on here to keep these grate rides running faster and better. I think killing off the two stroke was the worst choice ever. I know this is not a hole lot of help to thoughs looking hope others out there will add to this post with what ever usefull info they can. As im sure the jokers out there will as well. this is a very cool sight im glad some one put his together

Not sure if anyones checked into this but if you go to your local airfield you can buy 108 unleaded that runs just as well its not as exspencive as race fuel but is about the same octane. and you guy have no idea I would love to bring some fuel back from iraq with me these fools pay like 75 cents a gal for 110 or better oct we are getting screwed on the fuel prices. but u got to love the smell every darn car around here runs high oct. I am not looking forward to comeing back to such damb bs prices. these fellows are making a killing off of some thing therer is no real shortage of but dont get me started when these prices hit the rich guy in the pocket they drop. Yea very pissed off about this one sorry fellow riders

Look guys i know there a some guys out there that are just not made of cash. You can call it what you wish. I would not recomend this to any one really, but in a pinch it works just fine as long as there are no clearence issuses involved. defently good for smaller gaskets. Ive done alot of diffrent things when i was younger. I can actually afford the stuff needed now But when you dont got the money you do what you got too. It also makes you figure out the odds and end of doing it your self. This is just a little tip to though who actually would understand thats all.

Ok i know im going to get a lot of flack on this one. But if your in a bind and need to tear into something this always works. Use eather a large peace of construction paper or large cereal box the large side with no seams in it that will cover the parts to be sealed. ive used 2 different ways too get the outline for the gasket 1 lay the part flat with the rubber malet or peace of wood score the box all the way around the serface to be covered intill you see the outline of both edges the ara the gasket will cover cut this out with a sharp utility knife and drill out the bolt holes ive also uses sealent on the surface the needed the gasket then put the sheet of construction paper over it to get the out line as well. This is a simple fix for leaking cases that you just dont have the money to replace the gasket on at the time. I would not use this for a base gasket for the jugs. but i have used it as a case gasket on an old blaster that never did leak again. as well as the clutch cover gasket. works just fine if you cut it correctly always triple check your work before completely using it though.

This is a debated subject on here from what ive seen. I bought the cv set up unstalled at this moment just becouse im deployed to iraq. Darn thing is way price pretty high and if i would of though more about it i may of not bought it. But Im going to be building a 4 mill bike when i return that im going to be riding in the woods. I dont like messing with carb set ups that much and two of them is just plain a pain in the but unless you have a builder set them up right to start with. From the many posts and personal friends that run the cv set up it giveis a ok boost on low end but kills alittle on the top. If your like me i dont have two many places to wot any how. AS for size i got 35cc for the cv what im hearing and i repeat hearing like 32cc for dauls is a good size but look around on here there alot of different oppinions on this matter its all about where and what you spend your money on. I think if i was to do any thing else to my ride its to get suspention. mainly 2 two 4 " exstened swing arm ive bought about ever thing else for this quad gets darn exspencive after awhile. so spend your money wisely Hope this helped you out some have a good day

This is from my understanding im sure some one will correct me if im wrong. But you can use the 4mill with 110 rods and use stock uncut pistons with the 115 you have to use banshee pistons. And im sure youll hear that it a "dependes" on the power difference. but you will be incressing the cc's of the beast Ive also seen on here its a good idea for a grate power incress to have the jugs ported for the 4 mill crank and that its next to impossable to use a stock crank ported jugs inless it a very mild port. The last bit of info ive got is useing the spacer plate or not Though checking out different post on here and talking to different builders if you get the domes milled 2 mill for the stroker crank you do not need to use the stroker plate and you can use stock port. with the 110 rods. I am not sure on the 115 rods though. Well hope this helps.

thanks for the reply guys

need to know where to get case sealer, and what to get. yama bond 4 dosent look to be avaliable anymore what the heck do you use now. When applying whats the best method, do you all let it set or do you put a thin coat on both halfs and put it straigh back together and torc to spec. It seams odd not to have a gasket for the case but i guess its a clearence issue for bearings on the shee. odd design but it works. any links would be appceated

Ok guys i just got done reading a bunch of these post and im completely lost. Im building, 4 mill with 110 rods, 21cc domes with the 2mill milled for crank, trinity single carb 35m v force 3 reads and fmf fatty. stock port. ill be running 93 oct @32 to 1 mix synthetic elevation aprox. 200ft ave. Humidity runs on ave around 60 to 70 % where do i start, who sell a good jet kit with at least a few different set ups to use. IM not sure what all cam with the new carb. so i cant give info on that right now just looking for a starting point for my build. I do rebuild alright but when it comes to carb set ups im completely lost any help wiould be gratefull

Well guys wanted to see if you all would mind me doing a video of my rebuild. Im doing a 4 mill from seals on up build. I would like to make one as informative as possable for free. Its a pain in the but looking up info here and there. Im planning on putting a lot of detail most over look when doing a video. I know it will not be up to others standards for exstreme output. But ill try to to go in to as good of detail as possable and cut it into different parts of the build Its just a thought. Ill be doing this this winter and got nothing esle planed. heres a list of what ill be doing o Tear down every thing but rolling chassie o Cleaning frame and painting o Install nerf bars o New tires and rims o Front shocks o complete engine break down o replacing all seals o replacing stock crank with 4 mill o checking gears o replacing water impeller o replacing pistons o changing heads from stock to a cool head with domes o replacing clutches o complete reassembe and doing torq o checking clearences o leakdown test o compression test o installing ajustable timing plate o removing tors system for trinity 2 into one carb set up o reinstall of motoer and new plastic o new pipes o fluids o break in Seems like a long video hopefully i can do some movie magic with it to make it useable well what are your thoughts guys. Im no master mechanic, but what im doing isnt rocket science. That parts for the porting guy. Hopefully Ill figure this one out some day to and send a video on that one too.I have got nothing but time to learn to do that and that is comming along well. I may stick porting in this as well but it will be for a woods port only, but once i get the timing area completly figured out. and how to use this software ill stick that along with it Well guess thats enough for one post Hope to meat some of you on the trails keep the Banshee alive

head and port clearence for 4 mill stroker
gmctruck1976 replied to gmctruck1976's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Just wanted to say thanks for this post. I wasnt sure the correct way to go with this set up. Your post was a grate help. The set up i was planning was cut domes no plate. Ive been trying to set up a good running trail runner with a little bit of hair scrambles mx mix. im trying to shoot for 50 to 60 hp hope this set up will get it there. trying to build a bottom end ride anyway -
Hi Ok not completly ready to do this yet but have got the part together. Im building a 4 mill stroker. It will be useing 110 mm rods instead of the 115 rods. And ive got a phathead with 21 cc cut domes for a stroker. with stock port I "think" I dontknow if i need to use this stroker plate or or not. the domes are all ready milled the 2 mill for the stroke, but with these new heads not sure if i need a copper gasket or not for the seal. im also wondering about the ports at stock do i need the plate for timing issues. or does have to be ported when not using the plate. Last thing is the skirt of the piston. im useing the vitos superstock pistons 65mill bore or 40 over is this going to end up being an issue for me or should i get 21cc none cut domes and run the plate very concerend about this. ive built a few 2 stroke but this is the first stroker ive contended with. so its kinda of a new playing field to work in Ive done alot of research on doing this. every ones got somay vering oppinions on it. it would be helpfull to know what to look for when finally getting to putting the jugs and head back on. what issues can arise if i just run the cut domes no plate and stock port? Is this thing just granade on the first sign of combustion. Im pretty sure im going to get "send it to a builder" awnsers, but honestly want to finish this one on my own. thanks for checking this out

better ask you all before i mess this one up
gmctruck1976 replied to gmctruck1976's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
thanks for the quiq responce, you wouldnt happen to know if ill need to run the spacer plate or not would you. ive bought one of the phat head heads and got there stroker modded domes. its like got a 2 mill diff on the squish i guess is what there calling it it also " well see about this any way" comes with stock domes, the moded ones are 21 cc domes. if a am under standing all this correctly im no exspert here but i should beable to do with out the spacer plate is the any thing i should check when i actually put it all back together. or you all think i should leave the plate and get stock21 domes? ive got no idea her -

Ok guys getting ready to buy my 4 mill, its going to be vito's im just getting the 110 rods not the 115's i will have the spacer plate but not sure if ill be needing it or not. when i bought my head i got the 2 mill step for the stroker and will be using 21 cc domes. Im debating on getting different pistons, im using wesco's 65mm now there only broken in and i would like to use them. but ive also been looking at maybegetting the vito's power pistons 65 mill bore. Im just not sure what to really get hear guys, if ive been understanding every thing ive read i can use the stock rod length 4 mill crank with my pistons i have now or the vito's preformance pistons. both with stock skirts I think. with out useing the spacer plate and only useing the rechambered domes ive bought. but this is where im really confused. ive read that you should probly buy the 7 somthing pistons with the 115 mill crank. what exactly is the correct set up with the 110 rods and 4 mill crank. sorry for the confusion but thats where im at i would like to know before i get the crank and pistons. ive already bought the domes -
well guys this has been an exspencive process but think ive finally got all the correct parts together for a good running and hopefully looking quad. this is what im putting together as soon as i return from iraq 89 banshee works preformance shocks trinity 2 into 1 carb 35mm fmf fatty with power core 2 orange plastic with black seat and tankcover duglas rims with razer tire set up front and back vitos 4 mill crank phat heads 21 cc milled for stroker head and dooms timing plate new vitos water impeller seal kit tucks clutches with heavy duty springs new gasket kit d&g nerfs along with the fairly stock top end its bored 40 over with wescos lighter pistons not real sure on porting yet but it will get it sooner or later. But any way guys i really enjoy this sight its very helpfull when dealing with the may mods out there so you all think this old girl will run all right once its all together. ive been trying to make it competive to 450s and that outlaw. this has been the goal from the start. Ive got about 4500 invested in the old girl now should give her some new life. or at least thats what ill keep telling my self. well guy keep the trails warm ill get to them sooner or later and thanks for every ones advice

Ok guys im here again. this is the question i have for you befor i buy this stuff. Im looking at getting eather a vito's 4 mill crank or if there is a nother brand that i can still run my fresh 40 over top end on. any suggestions? another qusetion is when i do the swap out. i can not rember how the main gear is set on the end of the crank is that a pressed deal or if i rember right it bolt on. dont know. Any way is this very difficult. is there any other parts i nee to buy other than the gasket kit to do the swap, may be seals? last thing im getting is a cool head probly from phat head. with 21 cc dooms. is that the correct set up for pump gas dose anyone know. with the 4 mill and the plate set up. well i do have one more question sorry with the two peace head and dooms how do you put that together. i know about the orings but how dose that work? any sight so show how to do that. well guys im going to leave this in your capable hands. this toys sure can get exspencive but think it will be worth it to show up some of the buddies lol. 4500 compared to 8000 for a new 4 stroke cant complain too much i dont suppose
