  4. ok i have a k &n air filter for the air box but was thinkin about goin to k&n clamp ons and will be doin alot of mx and was wonderin if i should switch to clamp ons or just keep the air box and run without the lid

  8. ok im on sort of a budget and cant go all out but since my heads are goin to herr jugs i wanna know what all else to do to accent the mx port job that will be gettin done... for good low and mid power im choosing the dmc aliens and removing tors and puttin on clamp ons, advancing the timing 4 degrees, millin the stock head down .30 to .40 (whichever would be best on 93 octane) it already has the vforce 2 reed system... anything im leaving out so far without goin too drastic just yet? this is gonna see alot of mx time so input is appreciated
  9. exactly my point... im not decided on which one to get now either the red or white.... when i do my 450 a arm swap im gonna have the a arms done in red and other things on the bike done in red also so i dont know whether to do the red kit or do the white and set everything off
  10. yes dirt roads are the best around here we have tons and almost all of em have all kinds of different banks of corners and sharpness ect. some ppl have gotten pissed tho when you wiz by in 6th gear haha
  11. i cant find this graphic kit anywhere or and sweet tribal kit that will go with black plastics. a505chevelle has the one i kike the best does anyone know where to get the tribal alsa kits? they dont have it on the site
  12. which is better or how much of a difference is there between the v force 2 and v force 3? my banshee(which the jugs are on their way to herrjugs for the hillshoot porting ) has the v force 2's and i was curious how much of a difference there is between the two
  13. i use the ratio rite cup it gives all sorts of ratios from the leanest to richest and from a half gallon to two and a half gallons all you do is measure to the line you want for the mixture for however many gallons your using

  15. ah i would say like a 40 weight for the crankcase... after rides like stroker said CLEAN IT take pride in cleanin the shee it'll stay lookin good. 2 stroke oils i personally run nothing but amsoil IMO you cant get any better 2 stroke oil. check motor mount bolts and give everything a good tug frequently grease all the joints(thats why they have grease zerks) \. every once in a while check your plugs and make sure your plugs are still lookin good
  16. help is....practice makes perfect lol and trying to work the rear brake... not slammin on it but feathering it. it takes alot of time and finess

  18. not to rob your thread lol but i am doing the same port job your doing only with the dmc aliens? just wondering how they'll run and about some things i seen on his web site.... are the aux. worm holes worth the $$ or the piston lightening? and how would that hold up for durability.
  19. what do you mean you pick up a huge difference? you mean your slower with the yfz a- arms im lookin for somethin good for mx for right now like if i decide to really upgrade my a-arms to a aftermarket set should i still go with yfz ones or get actual banshee ones? well i guess my real question is will the yfz front suspension, a-arms spindles and everything be good for mx

  22. i am rebuilding my shee and my cylinders are on their way to kevin herr for some mx port and polishing :biggrin: well anyways i was cleanin my reeds and everything and i noticed that the plate that holds on the reeds, one side says high. and the other says low? whats that all about and what would be better.
  23. will they be good for mx? i plan on getting the shocks too soon. but i was just wondering how it will be for jumpin and all that. or should i get the banshee a-arms. help please.
  24. Is $150 shipped to my door for A-arms with spindles a good price? Or should I save up to buy actual Banshee A Arms that are extended? Im going to be alot of MX'ing.
