nathan you give me or del some notice if you guys decide to come up here. Coal hill has been a big mess all summer long because of the rain, lots of rain ruts on the hills, and the base of the hill is all eroded to hell also. Usually the offroaders wear down the rain ruts after a weekend or so, but with all the rain we've had this year, we can't keep up with the erosion. I havent been out riding in 3 weeks. It rained most of the night last night, and today we had 2 big badass thunderstorms that downpoured for 3 or 4 hours out of the afternoon today. Its the wettest summer I can remember. If you guys like riding in the mud and puddles...... :shrug: this is the year for muddin'.

my buddies piped 650 Praire feels faster than the stock YFZ450s Iv rode. Never raced em side by side, but my honest gut feeling is the Praire pulls harder. The big Praire will do 75mph. The blackwater 100 was never in the gncc circuit, it was a just a big annual race. I think its located in West Virginia. Ya they shut it down years ago. ATVScence.com sent my cuz to test ride the new Bomb and that was sometime before the Wisp race, so the quads were around and ridable during the time HD said they were. HD, I was at the Wisp this year, I shoulda asked if anyone here on these forums was going. I asked in previous years and no here ever goes to the GNCC's. We'll have to hook up for next years Wisp. Im goin' to Unidalla this year too, can't wait for that one.

Well it hasnt stopped raining here since mid May. 16+ inches of rain in June set a new record. Flooding at the end of June was the worse flooding in 33 years. And so far its rained almost every other day in July. Im a soooooooooooo sick of rain. It rained yesterday, it rained today and we'll prolly get more rain tomorrow. Coalfest grounds are mudpits.

I thought Can-am was a subdivision of Bombardier ? No buy outs ? ya the Utes now a days are amazing. The Praires and Brute Forces without IRS are very popular racers. The Bombardier\Can-am's are dominating the two GNCC Ute classes. Mike Penland now rides for Can-am after many many years of riding for Kawasaki. The Outlander had some relibility issues when they were first released, but the race teams now seem to have the bugs worked out of em. The Outlander is a nice Ute, but the new Can-am racer seems to be the new king of the hill. My cousin races the Ute classes in District 6, AGP and a few GNCC's every year. He's riding a '06 Rincon right now. Slowest quad of all the big bore Utes, but the guys like em cause the other big bore Utes are sometimes a handfull racing in the woods. Anyone familiar with Jim Stack ? Stack raced a Rincon last GNCC season with alot of success. He won at Unidilla last year on a Rincon. My cousin's last quad was an '05 Suzuki King Quad. And that was a good quad too, but it had relibility issuses and parts seems kinda cheaply made. We raced his King Quad at the mudfest at Rausch Creeks' Maxxis 6-hour race. We raced around for 4 hours before we had to quit because of a broken rear drive axle. He bent the first axle early in the race and we replaced it with our spare, then around 2 hour mark we broke another rear axle. We mig welded it back together, in the pit, during a steady rainfall, under a race canopie.... covered in mud. He raced it for another 2 hours. That was the King Quad. He bought Gorrilla brand axles for it and bent\broke those racing D-6 races. Sold the suzuki a few months ago. Our team raced the Maxxis 12-hour last year on a 750 Brute Force. You guys who think these utes are slow should try riding a modified 750 BF :baseball_w00t: Elka shocks all the way around it, Bighorn tires on billet rims. We came in second place at the 12-hour race. The big Kawasaki ran great. We had a few small problems, one bigger problem and we had one flat tire, but other than that... the BF was a great racer. This cousin of mine, Lance, writes for ATVScene's website, he does the Utitily quad reviews. Lance and my good freind Eric also brought to ya's the first live ATV race webcast last year when they covered the Maxxis 12-hour event. They worked with ATVScene on this project and they covered the whole 12 hours of the race and it broadcast live on ATVScene. They will be flying out to Texas in October to run the broadcast of this years 12-hour race. You guys should watch the webcast. The race is October 31'st, Halloween night. hell ya I can talk about racing Utility quads all day long :tongue:

Useless information, brought to you by meat : Woodchucks are also called whistlepigs. Im glad you brought this subject up Brandon.... From my many many... many... years of working in the lumber industry, one of our biggest problems are ferrel whistlepigs sneaking into our dry storage sheds and attempting to chuck the wood. Whistle-chucks, as I like to call em, are drawn to the piles of green lumber by instinct, the mother whistlepig needs to chuck about 40 board feet per day to sustain her litter of woodchucks. Once the lumber is kiln dried the woodchucks show no interest in the wood. Scientists beleive that the woodchuck is repelled by the dried lumber because its the will of the woodchuck gods :baseball_innocent: . Did I mention its fuckin' way too late and I'm way to tired to be writing about woodchucks on an ATV forum ?

Good question B, I'll play along with you, we're not all so uptight here. My thoughts are since woodchucks don't really chuck wood, the number would be zero. African woodchucks have been known to toss wood occasionally, but they're rarely chuck it. Iv seen bank-beavers chuck wood tho, but thats a whole nother thread

Ok iv been powdercoating now for a few weeks. I got about 8 or 9 parts sprayed and so far everything came out great. I'v been using the Eastwood infra red heat lamp and damn it works really well. I bought a temp gun with a laser pointer on it, so I can keep an eye on the temp of the parts, the heat lamp gets everything right up to 400 degrees, it works great. I built a booth and parts hanger setup. I can rotate the part on its hanger so I don't have to move the heat lamp much, if at all. Question: Can I PC chrome parts ??

iv been away for a few days, so i missed a shitload of posts in this thead... but i was thinkin..... Being a non believer, I see the religious folk as brain washed..... similar to folks in a cult. In fact I really don't know the difference between a cult and a religion. :shrug: Its all very odd to me, everytime I see folks praying and worshipping and whatnot. Long story: My buddy's mom that I was tellin' yas about before, she's uber-religious, I would go to thier church every once in while, they went to church 3 to 4 times a week, so If I wanted to hang out with my buddy... I'd have to tag along with him to his church. Now I don't know what religion these folks were, Baptists or somethin like that.... but these people were fuckin' crazy. Mind you im 14 years old when this shit is goin' down. Their preacher, or minister or preist or whatever the fuck you call em... would start preachin', and the women would get up and start praisin' the lord and then start moanin and hootin and hollerin', Im like... WTF... then folks would get down on the floor and start wigglin around... WTF is up with that shit ?? My buddy had a hellava time coming out to play with all the other neighbor hood kids, his mom made him do this thing called Devotions that would take up alot of his time, they'd read stuff from the bible for 2 hours, everyday.... I think they did it at a certain time of the day too. :shrug: I dunno, but it was some weird shit this dude had to do. I was like 16 years old and hangin out in the living room while he's gotta read bible stuff with his mom, he'd finally get done and we'd go out and do some serious underage drinkin :laugh: Now he's at age 35ish and he still believes in a god, but doenst go to church, doesnt wiggle on the ground and moan to god and doesnt do Devotions. In fact he's a hellraiser now. :beer: ttyl, its been pretty busy around here lately and I havent been online much.

duece, the burdon of proof should be answered by the ones claiming there is a god, not us. Why should we have to prove that there is no god ? Its impossible to prove that there is no man in the sky. The burdon of proof lies on your shoulders, the ones making the claims. And even tho I respect all you guys have said in trying to convice me there's a god, I gotta be honest and tell ya it still doenst make a lick of sense to me. I mean no disrespect either. Man has come along way in the past 100 years..... I wonder whats in store for us the next 100 ?? We have mapped the human genome, we can clone now, we can make babies in a test tube, we can see galaxies and universes billions of miles away that are billions of years old. Maybe, just maybe, god himself will come down from heaven and thats the day the whole world will understand the truth.
