  1. what jets have you got in them oko30's ? (oko's are a hit and miss carb) whats your elevation ? read this > http://www.dfn.com/agservices/elecfaq.html
  2. if you run a search for "premix ratio" youll find a few hits. or play with keywords, youll find more info.
  3. i got mine from uni filter australia, i dont know if they are different. i have the 30 degree ones and they clear everything but with the 2nd stage on, they just touch at the end . but i have my pipes insulated so there is no problem. with the 2nd stage, id say they are fatter than the k&n.
  4. they are decent. i dont know if they are cometic ones, but the reed gaskets ive had from wildcardracing and fast have been the cometic style, afm i think they call them, with the steel insert and rubberised coating.
  5. i run them with no probs, i use the dual stage too,
  6. plenty of 2 stroke quads out there, if people really wanted them they would get one, you can get some pretty modded ones for cheap. they still sell 2 strokes here, and people rather the four strokes. every one i ask whos bought a 4 stroke, if they would buy a 2banger again, they say "fuck 2 strokes" all of them haha. we are a minority.
  7. yep 2011 are sold here. the 4stroke is a demise if the 2 stroke, 4 stroke quads are alot better than a stock banshee, they have good power, suspension, frame everything haha. emissions in your country didnt help, but most moved to 4stroke quads anyway.
  8. ^^ yep was gonna say the same thing, with my switch off it will start n cut out. throw the stocker back in as said, see if its all good.
  9. i wasnt. you need a compression gauge, use the correct fitting (so the fitting is the same length as the spark plug (so the same amount of area is taken up in the chamber)). take both spark plugs out, wind in the tester, with the throttle wide open, keep kicking, till the gauge stops moving, repeat other side. . comp test should be done on a hot engine.
  10. no probs man ! will do !!.
  11. haha hey doug !! 421 cylinders also here, white knuckle intakes, vf3 reeds, tm34 carbs, 30 degree pods. with the bottom hose, i cant remember if i took it off and turned it around or what, but i have a good space between the pipe and hose.
  12. i engage the clutch arm with a screwdriver (not bending the arm or damaging the case) to give me a bit extra cable on the perch, then it goes in.
  13. i have nothing to compare with besides stockers. i think the floats are awesome, i like to ride fast over any surface and they soak it up so well. i had one of mine fail tho, like one faded. the air side has never been a problem and never leaked. i called up about my shock, and i have to get it serviced. it only fails going fast over bumpy rough ground. they said they have never seen that problem before. its been around a year and i still havent serviced it, i really should. i still like them.
  14. white knuckle intake with 30degree uni pods, they have a good gap between them and the pipe, but with the 2nd stage filter they touch at the end.
  15. threebond 1211. threebond 1194 i rather 1211 its less messy and cleans easier once set.
  16. speak to your builder and see what mods, port durations and riding style suites a pipe. they all have their + and -'s.
  17. the two longer studs go above the exhaust ports. with the 8 other studs, people have used loctite and threaded them in enough to expose more threads. i made lil spacers up so the studs had something to bottom out on. oh, and welcome to BHQ
  18. you need mikuni carb jets, the model of carb you have is a vm-26.
  19. bhq ftw ! throw some pics up !
  20. ask camatv if he has any modded tran's, i run one of his spec trans and its awesome, shifts like butter. HJR do one aswell. its not an override as i was scared of busting forks and that. this one i can treat like shit and it still loves me.
