I didn't change the carbs, I just came upon a deal of some rebuild kits on e-bay and I'm just curious if the gaskets, etc... would fit. On the outside they look identical, except for the idle control screw is a little different (mine are plastic, oko's are brass). I just don't know about internally.

Are parts, gaskets, etc... from oko 28s carburators interchangeable with keihin pwk 28s? I thought they were basically the same

Just something I noticed in one of the eariler post you mentiond that the bike was sitting for a while. If the lines were never purged methonal has a bad habit of gumming up lines, jets, etc. and corroding aluminum. So before you run it i would go through all the fuel lines, petcock, carbs etc... That's a nice motor that I wouldn't want to lean out. Now I have never run meth on a banshee, but in sprint cars i have and I always found marvel mystery oil works the best on keeping the lines clean. :thumbsup:

I run the No Fear Optimal 2 helmet and I love it. It's super comfy and i can wear it all day long, hot or freezing cold. It has an over-sized snout which gives you allot of facial protection, but doesn't keep you from staying cool on those hot days. Also my goggles which are dragon MDX's practically snap into the opening for the googles, so i have no problems with them shifting around. Oh yeah I got my helmet for under $100 at cyclegear

I run Blendzall Ultra 40:1 with 91 pump gas. It's interesting to see the varity of mixes and oils that people run. How is that synthetic Dallas, is it smokeless?

Easy-off is the shit, but just be carefull it'll strip powder coating too. Also use it in a well ventilated area with gloves, it is a nasty chemical. enjoy!

I used to run motoseal in all my vw motors, but you don't have the internal pressures in those motors as you do in a 2 stroke. So i would say a 50/50 chance on running it. :shrug: If you do use it make sure you let it sit for about 5-10mins before you put the case half's together. I read a post a while back that someone said they used windshield sealent!

Well I primarly just run trails and was running the pods w/outerwears. Where I ride there is rarely water, so i figured what the hell I'll run them, well to say the least I just lost my motor due to water (it wasen't more than a puddle). So I'm going back to the factory airbox with a proflow/unifilter and no lid. Also I got tired of cleaning them after everyride (gets dusty at Gorman). just my 2 cents
