I put the hd springs in the 97, got it back together. had the girlfriend take it for a ride and she made me take it right back apart wasting the gearsaver lol some serious finger pump as mentioned before the ears are smaller and clank a lil against the basket, personally didnt care on the oem basket though that just gives me a reason to upgrade.. how do the raptors plates compare are the fingers the same width as the oem shee? same for the streetbike clutches?

really depends on what kind of motor setup you got, i use barnett's, but i have also used ebc's and there ok for the money, if ur willing to spend the extra few bucks id go barnett..

Always blows when you get robbed like that, we had a 89 lt250 that was fully redone down to the frame! and i mean just bought the frame, everything was new except the swingarm, over 10 invested, came home one night and the garage door was kicked in, someone stole that, a 93 blaster a couple hunting bows, trolling motor, tools.... man i was in tears over it, luckily the banshee was on blocks waiting for new tires and rims!! Needless to say we found the blaster a week later, wiring harness was destroyed and the plastic was missing, took a major slap in that face on that one. Goodluck though, people like that will get theres in the end they always do.

Compression test, sounds like some major piston noise to me (major piston clearance) or as stated above ones not firing correctly

If your going through the gears hammering on it and it feels like waaWAH and no go u need a clutch :biggrin: also, when u go to take off if it lurches forward and u cant fix the problem by adjusting the adjuster at the cable you more then likely need one as well if u take the cover off check the fingers on the basket for wear (grooves) and wobble in the basket, good warning signs of needing to replace the basket to..

My work wont let us do home projects obviously theres bigger fish to fry, ive made my fair share of stuff in college but not out there. lol as a matter of fact what i do for a living is machine your 747 to 777 parts so u can safely fly :geek: the problems resolved, simple as that, i gave the head away, and bought a new one... No more issues 4 everybody, hate to see any of you guys blow an o-ring over this lol its a sad sad day when we all cant just get along..... I will continue to voice my opinion on shit though so if u gotta prob wit it people, dont read it :thumbsup:

wheeeweee lol good lord u guys i didnt "bash" anything, did i say dont buy this product? its junk, steer clear of it? no i said i cant get it to seal, the finish is poor on it and ive wasted 45 bux in o-rings on it, i apologize to the "builder" simply because it may have offended him, not because i was out of line! can i not voice my opinion on a product and seek advice?? isnt that what this whole bhq is about?? It was the head btw, i borrowed a buddies "nosshead" magine that to see if it'd seal up, worked fine.. Its a simple case of a frustrated buyer not being able to ride his new shee cuz of some dumb shi* now that its settled ill sale the head for 5bux to offset the advil cost :biggrin:

lol ya i hear ya, i gotta ride it for about 10 minutes yesterday before i noticed it again, boy im sold on these motors tho!! wow, thing trys to pull off the ground in 4th with just throttle, my other shee's dont compare, period. still fun to ride though, the head is old, its been on there awhile i can tell, im going to order the prodesign, if thats not the problem i guess one of the other bikes get a nice shinny new head :cool: its only money

the two center studs in front, Ive put 2 oring kits in this thing now, put the orings in, tryed using silicone on top of the head to, thinking its warped? Its really pissing me off, i dont like the nosshead finish either, whoever ran the face mill on it shoulda SLOWED DOWN amature machinists :geek: Think im just going to order the pro-design, this is dumb and getting tired of taking the cpi's on and off.

Kinda need to order a new head like NOW will it work? or should i purchase another noss? i prefer the pd

If you dont want to "trash" the bottle u can cut the back off the box where it originally is located, leave it that way. Did this with my 97, 98 doesnt have one, imo i like having the bottle it gives you some kind of idea if your needing to add any coolant. eitherway will work its all in preference and by cutting it wont cost a dime. you wont gain nor help or anything by throwing it out though.

I cant get my nosshead to seal guys, can i use the pro-design head with these domes on my 421 cub? Tired of dicking with this pos

Allright guys, i want to know if any of you have dealt with this ebay seller?? banshees-unlimited, based out of Jamaica New York?? My bro won an engine on ebay for his 99 shee that completely took a dump, piston broke, bent rod, idler gear wobbled loose, got into the basket, motor was trashed so he decided to get a new one n use that for parts, It was payed for in full at end of auction, the guy sent a tracking number (checked it, doesnt match anything!!!) im curious if he got asspounded on this one..... Guys not answering the phone.... no email responses.... Im thinking i may hafta fly my ass over there and slap a hairlip on somebody this is bs..... Anybody run into this??? from what ive seen so far dont deal with this guy

Oh my, lol dont replace the carbs over the floats sticking or a worn seat!? take the bowls off, take the float off (push the pin through) look at the rubber nipple looking thing (seat) make sure its clean and free of debri, also inspect to see if its worn a groove in it. this is a very common problem, my dad always said tap the carbs, never worked lol but hey! i like beating on shit just as much as the next guy :biggrin:

Ran that lucas in my 97 one time to get a quick fix ( didnt have the time to run and get some mc-1) smoked my left bank in 1 hour, bike had a shitload of hours on it though, not to say it was the oils fault, but i gotta blame it on something :biggrin: I wont use anything u can buy at an automotive store, they dont specialize in 2strokes, i wont even run that stuff in my weedeater, maxima castor 927 in 5 shee's, no problems, smells great, good price. my .02

Pulled the head off it before i could check it bro, was leaking through a stud, o-rings will be in tommorow, ill have the compression posted by the weekend, the timing was at plus 7 when i got it, i backed it off to plus 4, 7 seemed a little outrageous for me and wanted to start lower and work up if needed, thing ran flipin awesome like that tho, But i got a trip to little sahara planned in a few weeks and wanna get this thing gnat's ass on if possible, dont need it blowing the top off a piston before its first dune trip... ill get all the info on it this weekend, measure the carbs, check the compression yada yada, guy didnt even know what size carbs were on it, bankers :shrug: guy said he took it to race in lousiana, asked em if he was on bhq, nope, but was on planet sand, maybe somebody knows the bike?? ill get photobucket setup as well so i can get some bigger pictures

Hey fellars what are you running in your gas on your cub setups? I run castor 927 in my small bore bikes and it works fine, love the smell.. But i just purchased a new shee and was wondering if i needed to stepup in the oil for higher hp protection. The guy i bought it from was running half 93 half 110 octane, klotz oil, at 32:1 and it runs GREAT! but i have never ran this nor heard of it? I plan on running straight 110, no cutting it with 93. Id like to keep it simple by using all the same oil as the other bikes but i really dont know much about these topends and if theres any real need to use something else? Used to run bel-ray mc1 tell it took a 3 dollar price increase!! :mad: What ya think?

ya theres no plate hahaha its just the cutter path of the head when milled was shitty showing an extra line. i took off the head just a min ago, alls well, getting a seal kit and back together, lol sorry like i said im new to the cubs and "noss coolheads" i will get that pingel on the way to

the exhaust and intake transfers will be f'd up if i just move the plate to the bottom huh, SHIAT ohwell, run it tell it blows and get new jugs oh ya :cool: lol
