  1. That is the important thing to remember. If you get discouraged about whether or not it is or it isnt. Just call it what it is. "Banshee based". So a full chromoly stretched tube chassis with a huge swingarm and a stock stroke, stock cylinder motor with drag pipes is a.......? Also. Same goes for cars. If I take a 1969 Camaro and put a full tube chassis in it with full size tubs and 1 racing bucket. Powered by a Chevy based 702 stroker motor on methanol and nitrous. What is it?
  2. X2. This is what my builder told me to do also.
  3. Yeaaaaaah. Rico is all right I suppose. I mean, if you like the guy and all.
  4. It is also good for making engagement smoother. If you are debating on whether or not to get one. JUST DO IT! Splitting cases to get the rod out is by no means a fun task. It is a $50 little piece of insurance. Why not protect your investment?
  5. Ok. Somebody needs to agree with me here. You have a gorgeous bike. And it is very obvious that you have taken time and money to pour into your bike. Soooo with that being said. Why would you want a seat cover that takes away from the rest of the bike? I'm sorry if I am going to be brutally honest here, but that seat cover looks cheap. It just makes it look like one of those 88 Honda Civic hatchbacks that some 16 year old punk rattlecanned in his driveway without prepping the surface properly. I suggest an all black seat cover. I think it would give it a "Murdered Out" look.
  6. I would also like to see pics. I love lowered and stretched crotch rockets. Also, how much do you think the bike is worth. That will help move it as well.
  7. Ummmmmm. Why is he asking for an UNGODLY amount of money for that thing? Seriously, they take like 25 minutes to take apart, re-foam and re-cover. I would ask him to remove it, but only as a courtesy for him. Then, when you get no response from that, then take it to E-bay. That way, when they ask if you talked to him, you can say "Yes".
  8. Worn basket? On a billet 8 plate clutch? I don't think so. Possible yes. But highly unlikely. I'm thinking adjuster nut man. I'd start there. If you haven't changed the cable in a while. Might look into that also.
  9. I know that I have 15k in mine. A drag bike is not for the weak of heart. Something always needs to be replaced. Then, just when you get the motor and chassis in tune with each other. You decide to build another or start over. It's the name of the game and we love every minute of it!
  10. Hahaha Wow bro. Did you lose a bet?
  11. Uhhhhh. Did the guy offer you some crack when you went to pick them up too?
  12. Word. I'm down.
  13. WTF? How much more stuff are you going be giving away here Tim!? Bump for a great guy! And a sexy chassis!
  14. He has an R33 Skyline!
  15. You are def. going to need a different throttle cable. The stock ones will not be able to open the slide all the way on your new carbs. As far as changing your needle. There is only one in the Lectron carb. If he was running the same gas you are and you are both at the same elevation, you are good. If not, you will need a new needle.
  16. Edit. Hahaa. His was better. Lol
  17. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...utch+adjustment Here you go bro. Welcome!
  18. Send pics to [email protected]. I am interested in the condition of how the fins are.
  19. Sound to me like you might want to look at some adjustment at the lever. Make sure the arrows are correct on top of the cases also.
  20. Spring might definately be do-able for me also. Have a lot of tuning and what not to do before then. But I am sure I will come up with something. Also, Shayne, you already know that I am down for LS!! Just pick me up on the way!
  21. Hahahaahaha Bet you that came out of his next paycheck!
  22. Any friend of Cody's, should be banned for life. Naw just kidding. Cody's good peoples. Good luck on this sale! Free bump for you!
  23. Word. '71 Olds. Best time is 13.2 in the 1/4. For a 4,000lb slug, that's not bad!!
  24. First. You are going to need some new intakes. I am willing to bet that your boost bottle has something to do with your currently lean condition. You can get those here ... http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=190 ... Exspensive? A little, but you'll never have to worry about buying another set ever again. Then, you need this ... http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=59 ... Which will help you out immensly. Then you should come back here and tell us what's up.
  25. Ok. Well if Jeff is not doing your portwork. Then go with what the guy who is doing your portwork is telling you. It just makes it simpler. Also, I would seriously recommend that you do have Jeff do your port work. I hear it is well worth the wait! Another thing before I forget. Boreing the cylinders is not where you get more power. It just opens up the cylinder so that more fuel and air can combust inside. Porting is where you will get the most power. You could have 80mm cylinders. If they aren't ported correctly, they are a very large paperweight.
