ok..checklist....choke tube in place? are the bowls on the right carbs? are the slides in the right carbs? yes all this does matter! what is your float height set at?
i was wondering if anyone would possibly be interested in buying my p.e.p rear shock.its set up for negative 1 swinger for mx it rides great and smooth..muchhhhhh better over stock!.. any intrest in it at 175?
it is blown..all there is to it.pretty sure all the oil has gone bye bye making your rear shock a pogo stick.same thing happend to a stocker i had and the P.E.P i have on my bike now
i scored a set of new tripple rate works with rezzies for 60 bucks on craigslist out here in vegas..brand new in box and plastic wrapping.. i went from stock shocks to them and i ride dunes and trust me..how the front end used to be on choppy dunes with stiff stockers and would make the frontend jump. the works started to soak it all up..i enjoyed duning so much more.but heres my question. is the rear you are talking about stock or a works?
yeah i put a set of those on my bike like 4 days ago..i bought em at walmart also..and they arent hid they are just plain ole hallogen bulbs.. if you like i would go get pics of them on my bike.and the box also
i tryed calling you but no answer.. i currently dont have any way to get pics of the bike up but im sure we coul meet up at my house and talk some dealing..the bike is a 97 with fmf pipes. t.o.r.s. eliminated. practically new dunlop rear tires. almost new front tires. stock front shocks. it has a rear shock that was gone through by works is what the guy i bought it from said. just gimme a call back 702-481-6998
let me talk to my dad about it...we have a 97 banshee that just sits around no one ever rides it ahah probably because we have 5 banshees but let me talk to my dad
im a vegas local, im probably heading out to dumont for kickoff weekend also.and if you dont want to go there we could possibly meet up at apex *gaypex* or logandale dunes which is like 45 minutes from my house.. or armagosa sand dunes
from what i saw you have what looks to be a +4 roundhouse carrier swing arm, axis front shocks, either +2+1 a arms or +3+1 a arms keihn flat slide carbs look like they may be 30mm carbs toomey t5 pipes and silencers, and ripped intake boot..
yes you can go to wide.. when going to wide if ur susp setup isnt right you will have big time speed leaning problems.front end wanting to wander..i mean the yfz450 a arms are already a plus 2 per side..so your looking at 4 inches wider in the front..ur looking at putting plus 2 yfz arms so thats 4 inches per side so 8 total over all.. its to wide if you get into tight trails and can suprise you and catch a rut and jerk the bars outta ur had no matter how hard your holding on... you could just cut the back j arm tab outta the way and fab up a a arm conversion kit that the right size for the yfz but imo its pointless to go that wide..just my .02 ..
