  1. Duals all the way. If you want to save some cash, take a look at the 30mm oko carbs. Keihin carbs w/o the name..
  2. Mods are in sig., and I run a 160 main, 48 pilot, supplied needle in the 3rd clip, and air screw out 1.5 turns. I am also at sea level.
  3. I am heading out there next weekend to pick up a couple things. Gotta get that stock thumb throttle replaced. I would this weekend, but my grandparents are having there 62nd wedding anniversary in Prineville, and my wife's family is getting for her moms birthday. Kind of a busy weekend. Priorities are sometimes a pain, but you gotta do 'em. I was going to say I dont know you from Jack, but I'd sit and have a beer and shoot some banshee shit. New to this whole banshee thing and any help or info would be great. Places to ride etc... Maybe sometime, let me know.
  4. Just search Carb Parts Warehouse and the number is on their homepage. I have the stock intake boots and K&N pods. Did you get the pics I emailed you??
  5. My hats off to CPW. I called and talked to someone over there and told him my situation and he was very helpful. Even after I let him know the carbs were on the bike when I bought it, it didnt matter. You dont find customer service like that when you are not the original purchaser. Carbs are great. A 28PWK for a portion of the cost.
  6. I still drink the cheap beer, but you cant go wrong with Pabst Blue Ribbon. Cascade and White Knuckle are within a 30 min. drive. There are a ton of little shops that are trying to make a name for themselves, so they are very price competitive. I went to one shop not too far from me and told him I could get a pro design impeller for $65.00. He told me he would do $60 and I FORGOT to mention it didnt include shipping. Gotta love it. Me and two friends just went in on a 55 gallon drum of TRICK 110 for $73.50 a piece. We paid $4.00 a gallon for 110. I thought that was a good deal..
  7. I am finding out that I am in banshee heaven here in Oregon. There are a ton of different shops with in a half hour. And to think I am going on 32 and never owned a banshee til about 2 months ago. Better late than never!!
  8. When i posted this, I was very green to the banshee. I had the bike for a month and already had the top end off, portwork, bored and new pistons in. Knowing what I know now about these, I would have never posted that. I gotta say thanks to everyone on here, cause in the last couple months I have learned a lot about the shee.

    ESR Pipes?

Well, you gotta think of it this way, just how many cheetah cubs do you see compared to ESR bikes. There is a reason for this, and I know when it comes to the point of resleeving, I will just go cub. I asked the guy I was talking to at ESR what would the pipe kind of compare to, and he had no idea. I said is it like a T-5, shearer, CPI? His response, I dont know. He definetly did say that the pipe was their design and built to their specs. I dont think I will ever know how these pipes perform. I am one of those people who needs proof that something is good before I get it. Thanks for the input you had.

    ESR Pipes?

The pipes didnt seem like too bad of a price. He told me $544.00 shipped to my door. That is with pipes, stingers, and silencers. I am still going to shop around and see if I cant find a better deal on those or something similar.

    ESR Pipes?

    Appreciate the help.
  12. Oh no, my old oven is electric. We just had gas run to our house and I will be putting a new gas range in..

    ESR Pipes?

Did they have a bigger chamber than the T-5's?? I cant find any info on them and the guy at the website doesnt know a whole lot about banshees, but he does know his 250R's. Thanks for the help...
  14. I forgot about this awhile ago. The port work ended up being pretty good. A friend of mine who pretty much has the same setup as I do, but with CPI's, ran pretty much neck to neck. I weigh about 20 lbs. more than he does, so I gotta say I am happy with the whole thing. Now I am looking for new pipes, cause after riding a bike with CPI's they seemed to run out a lot longer than my T-4's. The list of things I want to do gets longer all the time. It is not like I have to or need to, just want to. I have a hard time explaining this to my wife. I have a new philosphy on this whole thing. What she dont know wont hurt her, and you just cant tell everything...
  15. Could be loose wires. Chase all the wires down and make sure they are connected. That is a good starting point cause there are a lot of things that it could be. To check your coil you need a good ohm tester and a clymers manual. It will give you all the specs for the resistance in all the wires for the shee.
  16. Good post. I am getting ready to change my impeller and that helped. Between that and clymers it will be a piece of cake.
  17. That is pretty slick!! Quick question, did you just take a free oven and strip it down til you were left with the controls and elements? I have an oven that I am getting ready to replace, works fine but just got natural gas. If that is the case, I may have to build one of those. I'll raise a frosty mug to that, nice work..
  18. I have a few more mods than you and I run a 160 main and a 45 pilot at sea level. Is that the jets they gave you when purchased, or were they already in there? Seems a little rich, but who knows cause every bike is different. Run them and start doing some plug chops. It is always better to be a little rich..
  19. It does serve one good purpose, a great place to stash your goodies when youre running across the border!!
  20. Beat me to it..
  21. I went out this weekend and I changed some jets around. The top ended up being a little lean. I ran the WOT and the plugs were dry, just tooling around at 1/4 throttle and they were wet. I had originally put in a 155 and it ran better with a 160. The pilot ended up being a little rich. Had a 50 in it and went down to a 45. Shee runs like a rapped ape now, no hesitations at all. Thanks for all your help!! This site rocks!!!

    ESR Pipes?

I am looking to get some new pipes for the shee and I ran across these ESR pipes. Anyone have any clue about them?? I did a search and couldnt find anything, so had to ask. They almost look like a shearer, not sure. www.eddie-saunders-racing.com Thanks for your help..
  23. I will definetly find a club in the area and have them tested. Appreciate the help guys. About the cascade silencers, have you seen the new ones with the star shaped cap, they are pretty sick. I live about 30 min. from their shop, so you could say I frequent their showroom with a rag for my drool. They have really nice stuff, but it will put a dent in your wallet. I am just seeing if there is a more cost effective way to do this. My wife already bitches about money spent on the bike, and I havent even started. If the T-4 silencers work, that is $300 towards other goodies!!
  24. I wish I would have took a picture when it was apart to see what was done with it. I have no clue if it was chambered or how much it was shaved. I am finding there are alot of things I wished I would have done. Oh well, there will definetly be a next. Thanks
  25. I am thinking that the best way to figure this out is to get a sound checking device. That is better than turning myself in at a sound check. They will more than likely get me for something else. I have a big red X on my forehead that says I just may be guilty for something..
