  1. Told you I was border line short bus, damn abbreviations..
  2. I keep seeing different posts how T-4's suck etc... I was just trying to figure out why. No low end, crap up top, make powerband terrible, or whatever. I got quite a few more upgrades before I start worrying about getting new pipes. Need to get a cool head, lock out clutch, radiator, and the list goes on. Skylor, what I was trying to figure out is what "ihni" stands for, like I said, I am border line short bus...
  3. I am a bit slow at times, sometimes border line short bus. So please help me, but ihni???
  4. No problem, here is a pic of them. They have the same silencers as the T-5's.
  5. The guy that had the bike before me said they pull pretty strong, but it was a pain to get the plugs out cause the pipes run straight across. To me they kind of resemble a CPI with a smaller chamber. Just was curious if anyone is running them or did in the past. I cant seem to find any info at all. Thanks for all your help.
  6. I have some Toomey T-4's on my shee and all I hear is about how bad they are? I am in the process of breakin in the moter after a fresh top end rebuild, so I haven't seen them perform. I am just looking for everyones personal opinions on these pipes, and the brutal honesty is the best. Thanks for tour help.
  7. I have these carbs on my shee and if you run the k&n pods you have to order them from k&n. They are not a common size. Just cause they are a pwk28 opened up doesnt mean they will take the same pods. I had to get a new idle screw and ordered one for the pwk28 and it was a perfect fit. Hope this helps, cause I spent awhile trying to figure it out. ::
  8. Thanks for the info. I will let you know how it goes..
  9. I am just getting done with my first banshee. I took out the top end and had a mild port done, bored the cylinders .20 over, added wiseco pro lite pistons, and lightened the flywheel. I also added boyesen dual stage reeds. These are the upgrades I have a question about for the jetting. The bike already had toomey t-4's, 4 degree advanced timing, shaved head, and 30mm oko's with k&n's. Before he was having electrical issues it was running really strong. He had a 130 main jet, a 50 pilot, and the needle set at the third notch. So after the additional crap I did, can anyone get me in the ballpark of where to start. This is my first bike and the minute I got it, I tore it apart, and I really dont want to tear it apart again so soon. Thanks for your help.
  10. He ended up opening the intake 15%, the transfers 13- 15% and the exhaust 18%. Hopefully it runs good..
  11. I talked to the guy this morning and and he assured me that it was a stage 1 port. He opened up the transfers, intake, and exhaust. You can see inside the cylinder that they were opened up. Overall I received the port job, boreing the cylinders, wiseco pro lite pistons, top end gasket kit, and lightened flywheel for $505. So I took a guess on the $200 for the port work. Hopefully the port is what he says it is. Good thing I have a friend that has about the some setup as me, so I will be able to tell once we hit the sand. I must say that the banshee is worse than a crack addiction, my wife is getting pissed at me. I just tell her she had been replaced by a shee that dont talk back.
  12. It has 30mm oko carbs, Toomey T-4's, shaved head, Wiseco pistons (20 over), Boyesen dual stage reeds, and that is about all I can think of for engine mods. I paid $200 for the porting. I have the motor put back together now, so I cant measure the ports. We will see how it goes when I take it out this weekend. I will keep you posted. Thanks
  13. It just seems that there was not a whole lot of porting done. Being this is the only motor I have ever torn apart, there is much to learn. I must say that this bike is like a crack addiction. When I get her up and going I will let you know. Thanks and I am sure I will have many more questions.
  14. This is my first quad so I am unsure of some things. I was told it was a stage one port which is comparable to a mild dune port, so I have been told. By the looks of the port job, I could have grabbed a dremmel and done it myself. How much is it for a a cleanup port??
  15. First of all I would like to say hi. Anyhow, I just bought a used banshee and decided to take the top end out and have some work done. It still had stock bore and pistons with no port work. I took it to a local shop and had the work done, but the porting seems very little if not none. I know that you cant tell how it is going to perform by looks, but is this something I should address before I put the shee back together. Sorry about the quality of the pics, had to lower the resolution. Any help is appreciated. Thanks again.
