  1. I am parting out my Banshee. Let me know what you want and an offer. From there I can figure out shipping. Shee ran real strong and shifted fine before I started taking her apart. The stock head is shaved and has Sparks engraved in it. There is no pitting and it ran at 170 lbs of compression. The stator, timing plate, and coil have 15 hrs on them. Lightened fly wheel. Dual 30mm oko carbs with newer k&n filters and outerwears. The parts that are sold already are the pipes and silencers, cylinder jugs, handlebars, thumb throttle assembly and cable, rear paddles and wheels, swing arm, chain, and rear brake line. Any questions feel free to ask. Pics of the bike are in my account and can send more to you if needed. Thanks
  2. I am selling my little girl. I hate to do it but medical bills force me to. Mods are listed in my sig and you can go to my homepage and see pis. I am asking $3500. We can arrange shipping when it comes to it and I will not be responsible for shipping costs. Any questions please feel free to ask.
  3. No interested people, so I am going to part it out. Let me know what you want and a price you will pay. Let me know where you are roughly located so I can get a shipping quote to you. Any questions about anything let me know. If you need pics of certain things I can get those posted for you. Thanks.
  4. Bump.... Is the asking price in the right range. I am taking a pretty good sized hit at $4000. Just need to get rid of it. I may think about a part out if no offers are made...
  5. I forgot you can see a couple pics in my profile. I also have the title in hand...
  6. I hate to do it, but shee must go. There are 25-30 hours on fresh rebuild. T5 pipe bodies with T4 silencers are within legal decibal rating. I got tested during the summer and passed. This bike runs strong. The paddles are in good shape and still have alot of life in them. The dune trackers have 10 hours, so are still pretty much new. The bike is the same as in the bikes. The mods are listed in my sig. If interested we can figure out the shipping when we get to that point. I live in Gresham Or. Any questions feel free to ask. Asking $4000 obo. Medical bills got me strapped, so unfortunately, shee must go. I have a new computer so I have alot of pics in my account that I can forward to you.
  7. I have the T-5 pipe bodies with the old T-4 silencers and wanted to get a courtesy check. It was 93 db, he told me I had 4 db to go before I was illegal.
  8. That has got to be one of the best ideas I have heard in a long time. If you do go through with it, you have another buyer.
  9. Typically the tongue weight of a trailer is between 15 and 20 percent of the total weight. Hope that helps in getting a wheel with a correct weighting.
  10. Here shee is...
  11. I love my +6 in the sand, but I sure wouldnt want to trail ride with it. You would be happier with a +4 IMO
  12. The sand was very wet last weekend and never really dried out. It seemed like every night it would piss and then get some scattered showers during the day. Oh well, got about 14 hours of seat time and shee did great. Banshee Hill actually suprised me, I was able to pull through the gears in the bowl area and pick up the front. There was one instance when a couple of four strokers were lined up to race at the bottom of the hill and I followed them up. There is a little area where there is room for only one quad and I was about 10 bike lengths behind. When it opened up to the bowl area I gave her hell and ended up passing both the four strokes by quite a bit. You could see both of them looking over and had this look of what the hell just happened. Very satisfied for now.
  13. I got to take the shee out for a long weekend at the dunes, and I must say the T5's have a bit more than I originally thought. Compared to the T4's shee seemed to stay in the powerband a few thousand more RPM's. The bottom end was not that different, the T4's seemed to have a little more but not that much. I was actually suprised when I had to jet down. I was running a 160 main, 50 pilot, and needle in the third clip. I kept the needle in the same spot, but put in a 152 main and a 48 pilot and shee ran like the cops were chasing her. Overall, I am totally satisfied with the T5's for now. The addiction is in full effect, I just purchased a 4 mil stroker crank with a 5 mil long rod. The bad thing is I have maybe 20-25 hours on her since new top end and never rode her at all before that. Good thing I got my wife a Blaster to justify the shit I do to the shee. The only bad part is I have to things to her bike in the process. I wish I had a money tree in the backyard......
  14. No offense taken at all. I am fairly new to all this and learning more every day. The only reason I said anything is cause it worked for him. I personally would never run one. I bought a bike that wasnt running and fixed it and during all of that I found the guy who owned it before me had a bandaid for everything. Hence being it wasnt running. I got off the phone with the guy that is running one of those plug locks and he is running it cause he messed up the threads on the head for the plug. The only reason he hasnt fixed it is he is getting ready to drop in a 421 cub.
  15. Good call. Awhile ago I remember that a buddy of mine was having a similar problem and he got one of those plug locks. I am sure he did an extensive test because that was a couple of years ago and his shee is still running strong.
  16. The banshee engine has alot of vibration and that is why the plug can come loose. They make a spark plug lock so you dont have to worry about it anymore. Just search banshee spark plug on ebay and you will find them.
  17. www.tdubracing.com is no longer up. Hopefully someone shut that bastard down. Just reading that thread got me pissed and thinking of taking a trip to Jefferson. At least you got them.
  18. I weigh 215 lbs. and shee has 14/42 gearing. I went to Cascade today and bought a 44 tooth rear sprocket. Got out of there with only that, could have bought more but the wife got me some stuff from there for my birthday. Not quite sure what she got yet, but I made sure she had a good list. She played it smart and had it shipped to her work so I will not know until this weekend. I wish she would give me my present now so I can put it on. Hopefully shee will do OK at Winchester Bay this weekend, if not slap in the new sproket and hope that works a little better.
  19. Try checking your pickup coil to make sure it is gapped properly. You may also want to check the flywheel to see if that didnt come loose. Get an OHM tester and make sure all the electrical components have the proper resistance. Your trusty Clymers manual will have all the proper specs for this. Good luck.
  20. When looking through the intake boots my reeds seemed fine as well, but when I took the left side out you could see it wasnt seating. Not sure if you went that route.
  21. I have 22-11-8 10 paddle extreme haulers on my bike right now. I bought it this way, but am finding that this may be a little bit much for my bike. I have yet to any riding on some big dunes. I have only rode at Sandlake, and there are only short tree shots. Nothing too long at all. With the mods in my sig., do you think I may have overkill on the paddles, especially when I go and run the bigger dunes. I am definetly going to bring a different spocket so I can gear down. I am just finding opinions if I should go to a 8 or 9 paddle for a better riding experience. Thanks guys.
  22. I just went througha similar problem. The left cylinder would only run fine at idle, once you gave her some throttle it seemed to fire every other stroke. I did everything I could think of and found the reeds on the left cylinder were not seating all the way. Got them to seat and shee ran great. Just another avenue to possibly go down. Good luck.
  23. One of the guys name was Ray. He has been messing around with banshees for some 15 years. I cant remember the other guys name, but he was out of Scappose and buys stock banshees and builds them up and sells them. Both of them were very nice genuine people.
  24. I am fairly new to this whole banshee thing. I bought my first shee almost 4 months ago and there is a certain brotherhood (lack of better words) to them. In my area I have looked on craigslist for banshee parts a couple times. I call these guys and ask them about a part and the conversation ends up going on for 30 minutes or better. They were all curious about what I have done to the bike, giving pointers on getting it to run better, and the basic do's and dont's. The people that I talked to, even if I didnt buy a part from them, said to feel free to call anytime if I had a problem or needed anything. Call someone about four stroke parts and I am willing to bet you wouldnt end up with a 30 minute conversation and you can call any time. Just thought it was kind of nice, something you rarely see anymore.
  25. I just had a similar problem with my shee and did all the testing and found that the left cylinder reed wasnt seating all the way. Pulled the reed cage and got it to seat and ran like a champ. Just another avenue to possibly head down. Good luck.
