  1. I wear shorts all summer with CPI's. Suuurre I've burnt my legs the first two or three times out. Do you think I didn't learn? Haven't had a problem since.
  2. ^^^^^^^ They've both covered it.
  3. Looks good. You're giving me the bug to go cut mine.
  4. WOOOOOW!!!!! I want one.
  5. Props for a hell of a guy! And one hell of a builder.
  6. Looking for a good set of used Douglas .125 or .160 front rims. PM me with what you've got.
  7. K&T Dune Port!!! That's funny. Do they make anything slow? They don't want their bikes being beat!
  8. If you've already drained everything else. Pull one bolt at a time and tip it almost on it's side.
  9. Honestly bro, its up to you. It's personal preference and $$$$. You can make a killer trail bike out of a banshee with the right pipe and port set up & of course suspension. Stock for stock the 450 would be a better set up. If you want to be original and different, I'd say go with the banshee and set her up for trails. As far as cooling a banshee, throw in some Engine Ice and add a billet impeller and that should help a bunch.
  10. Nice. Do you know how your kawi compares to, lets say, a YFZ 450 with pipe, intake and jetted? Are they comparable numbers with the same bolt on's? So basically will a fuel injected bike make more hp with pipe and intake than a carburated bike?
  11. Yeah that thing looks sweet! I'd like to see a vid of it run!
  12. Post a picture! Lets see that thing.
  13. I agree. I assume he is riding sand and that's why he is putting on K&N's. If he is riding dirt I would say a better set up would be, as others have stated, pod uni's.
  14. ^^^^ I would say as long as you have Outterwears with them there's nothing to be worried about.
  15. Typically with no additional mods you'd just bump up the main one size. You can always plug chop just to make sure.
  16. That sounds about right maybe a tad lean. I'm at 310 at considerably higher elevation. When you say you checked your plugs are you talking you just pulled them out to look or you did plug chops? Other factors may have contributed to the burn down too though: air leak, needle position, gas mixture etc. How quick did it burn down?
  17. Tell us what kind or riding you do and we'll tell you what pipes and air filter set up would be ideal.
  18. Looks good! I've been doing my stingers and it gets addicting. I want to do the whole quad now! Not to hijack the thread but I got a microfiber bonnet for a hand held buffer and tried buffing on my stingers that way. Didn't turn out as good as I thought so I just went back to doing it the old fashion way with elbow grease. Is there any kind of trick with a hand held?
  19. I wouldn't be to worried about canceling on him. You don't owe him anything. Just call and say you're going a different direction then anticipated. By the sounds of it, this is not a guy I would want porting my motor. I'm sure he does great oil changes but it's not the same.
  20. The builder, if he is a reputable builder, doesn't need the crank to port the cylinders. He should be able to set up the cylinders according to your wants with the 4mill.
  21. I read your other post about the front end coming up in 3rd gear. I can't tell you sprocket sizes but if it's coming up to easy then you're obviously going to want to gear up.
  22. Props bro! That makes me want to go out an thump some thumpers. I just hate shit talkers really. Way to shut him up!
  23. I think a 21x12x8 8 paddle extreme sounds good. May even consider a 22x11x8 extreme. Depending on sand and riding you may even want to bump to a 10 paddle.
  24. If $$$$ aint no thing go with a dune port 4mil.
  25. Like the other guys are saying, it sounds like a jetting issue. Something you'll need to know it the elevation differences between where you ran at sea level and where you're at now. I would pull the side cover off and see for sure if your timing is advanced.
