  1. measure from the crank centerline to the main pin and multiply X2 this will give you your stroke. Measure from eye center to eye center on the rod to get the rod length. 54mm stroke 110mm rod is stock.
  2. We are going to be there the 17,18,19. , face, frogger and a whole bunch of others. Give me a call and we will meet up for sure. Its called knolls
  3. A set of stock cylinders done by a competent builder can run right with a drag ported cub and easily outrun a box stock cub. Our aggressive dune ported stock strokes have run right with several cub motors. It is also going to depend on total setup and state of tune.
  4. I prolly have a set of loaner paddles you can use if we meet up for a day or two
  5. good advice right there
  6. Pull your clutch cover and check the discs and steels, install 3 HD springs and redo your plug chop. I would also say if you're looking for more of a mid to top hit and a lot more power you need to consider some CPI or Shearer pipes instead of the FMF's.
  7. Lookin good  Can't wait to see how it runs in person
  8. If you can shoot me a pm of what weekend you'll be out ther and I will try to come out for a day. I really think it would be worth the drive to hit up Little Sahara dunes though, much larger riding area about 4 hours north of Vegas. What are your mods and I can give you a good estimate on the jetting.
  9. Coral Pink sand dunes outside of St. Geoge UT shouldn't be too bad early to mid june. Or about 4 hours North to Little Sahara UT, the weather will be great all of june there. If you make it to any UT dunes hit me up and I can try to get out of the shop for a ride
  10. LMAO, somewhere around there. We are located in central Utah. Thanks for the feedback face, I'm glad to see that you are happy with the work.
  11. What type of terrain? What size are your rear tires? What gear would you like to launch in?
  12. It will hurt the peak power output of the motor.
  13. The JJandA carriers come with larger slot than the modquad or boss ones. Not sure what size the Lonstars are ect. That may be your issue. Talk to whoever built the arm and find out what carrier brand they use. You can buy the Boss brake plates separate from the carrier and it will fit several other carriers.
  14. 190 mains, needle in the middle clip 1.5-2 turns out on air screws. You will be just right there. As far as the race fuel, you will loose power running it if your motor isn't set up for it. You will be just fine on 91 octane. And, no it won't affect your jetting unless it's oxygenated. Hope that helps.
  15. 330-340 mains, 27.5 pilot , needle on middle clip would be a good place to start. 310's will be way lean, you may end up as low as 320's depending on temp and humidity.
  16. Do the leakdown test, then run the heat cylcles and retorque. I would double check the pilot jets that they are clean, double check all of the adjustments on each carb that they are the same and make sure to sync them. Check the compression in each cylinder to rule out an internal mechanical issue. You could also have an issue with your reeds, make sure they are closing properly and not broken.
  17. I should be there with a few of my bikes at least one, maybe two days over Easter. Not sure if I'll get out before then though. It was good meeting you there in Nov.
  18. The Gnarly's will move your power even lower than the fatties and provide less top end. I empahsized the porting for low-mid power, but can easily adjust it to give more mid and top power with your current pipes. The exhaust duration is too low for mid to top pipes like the high revs or T-5's. It would run, but as Snop said it will provide a very narrow window of power. Give me a call and we can go over your options. -Brandon
  19. LMAO...that's what I meant. Good catch
  20. Isn't this the same guy who told you that there is no difference porting for a four mil than a stock stroke? I'd honestly quit listening to the BS this guy is feeding you full of. He obviously doesn't have a clue about stroker builds, what they involve or how they preform.
  21. The 4mil builds more torque in the bottom and midrange, this is what really makes this setup shine for all types of riding. Your builder doesn't know what he is talking about IMO. Any time you increase the stroke you will increase the effective power stroke of the engine therefore building more low-mid torque.
  22. Why don't you go one better and get yourself a Noss Head that doesn't require changing domes
  23. 310's will be way too big with the stock airbox in place. I'd start at 290's and work your way down, we're running 310-320 in ported motors with pods. Move your needles toward the blunt end one clip position. I hope you enjoy your pipes Chad!
  24. I would bet that it's the water pump seal. If the o-ring goes bad the coolant leaks on the upper case. The o-ring and clutch cover gasket would both have to go bad to get coolant in your oil.
  25. Check your carb sync
