i have done a cleanup port on my trail bike.. i also widened my transfers and exhaust a little.. even with a 2 into 1 carb the bike runs very good for what it is.. there are a few guys on here that seen it run first hand.. not the fastest, but it was free power gained.. like said, be careful going to narrow with the intake bridge, not a lot of power gained in this area.. its all in the transfers and exhaust..

naa.. i started with a stock length, went to the +2 and love it.. i tried a +4 and it felt a mile long and flat out sucked.. i can throw my bike around very easy with the +2 on it.. it is all about the type of riding.. in this case i will agree, the -1 or -2 swinger would be better for mx and such.. i also drag race the bike some..

i am sure plenty will disagree with me.. but my trail bike has a +2 swinger, 2+2 axle and i just ordered +2+1 arms.. i like the +2 for my weight and its better for hill climbing(which i do a lot of).. traction is still great for me.. i haven't noticed and difference in trail riding.. anyhting more than a +2 would be a waist for this type of riding IMO

i just ordered a set of wicked's today.. they are real helpful on the phone.. the wickeds are all 4130 chrmoloy.. they seem to stand behind their stuff and sell individual parts if u ever need them..

yes, it is degrees of open port timing.. you set your piston at TDC, then set your degree whell 0 mark wherever you can so that you have a reference mark on the case to go by.. hope that makes sense.. lol.. i am still learning.. those sound like some pretty radical port timings you mentioned.. sounds to be good for topend pull..
