  1. no-one? am i gonna have to hit up flea-bay?
  2. I need a early style cdi to at least try on my wifes bike. I am in tulsa ok, and am desparate! Ever had to tell your wife you were goin riding, and she cant go cuz hers dont run? aint pretty!
  3. I have a set of black pt mids that came off my wifes bike. i put my old fmf's on hers. she would like to sell both sets to help fund a new set of T-5's
  4. just clean that one up real good. mine did the same thing. bought a adjustable stator plate and went to put it on, took off cover and water went everywhere! i was looking around for a fish to be floppin on the floor! anyway, long story short, i cleaned all the contacts, put it back together, and well, no problems yet. just make sure you squeeze some silicone off in the rubber grommet the wires go thru, and make sure your rubber cover gasket is good, then this wont be a problem again. now if i could just figure out wifeys bikes problem............
  5. the problem is that its a 94 with the round plug, and everybody i ride with has newer bikes with square plugs. anybody on here have one? im in tulsa ok.
  6. BOOOO!!! new stator? nothin. new coil? nothin? anybody ever had a cdi box quit?
  7. nevermind! happen to have a 2000 banshee sitting in my shop thats getting a 200watt stator! just spliced the round plug on the replacement, and should be back in business. P.S. now wifey has a adjustable timing plate
  8. I have my wifes 94 tore apart trying to find out why we have no fire. I have tested the coil, tried a different coil. tested source coil, and it reads 11ohms. supposed to be 13-23. is that low enough to cause it not to fire? or should i test my cdi? and yes, the tors is all dissconnected! thanks, shaun.
  9. those sure do have some baked on mud stains for only an hour old!
  10. in my opinion, it would work just fine. may be a pain to clean later, but should seal nicely. may make the cover a little tough to get off later. i too think that gasket prices are crazy high.
  11. i managed to get a ticket for 251$. turned to sharp on my raptor and picked up the inside tires. lesson? no u-turns in camp with a too-tall bike!!
  12. u mean the raptor with the white drag cut plastic and dual exhaust, and mile long swingarm? and that orange bike hauls!
  13. By the way, i'll be on the only raptor with one headlite
  14. I'll be there on my wifes raptor. banshee isnt done yet, and im in no hurry.
  15. is that the one with the chrome plated powerband? lol
  16. ok, so its almost time for me to take my project to little sahara. just needs broken in and some HQ stickers so people know "i'm down, yo" lol. who does em?
  17. what exactly are you trying to gain with this swap? there may be another solution.
  18. if this guy has stock carbs he cant switch side, unless he plugs of the choke tube thing
  19. your gains will come in this order, faster rev, followed by broken motor mounts. not a good idea. shave the flywheel or something. just taking parts out isnt gonna work.
  20. I have used in the vito's super stock pistons in several different banshee's and blasters builds over the years with not one single failure. As for cast pistons, i highly recommend you stay away from those, as they are prone to break. as for your size, you need to know exactly what the new pistons will measure, and then finish hone to get the required clearance. call vito's and see if they can offer any input on the sizing.
  21. and purchase stock on wiseco pistons and hotrod cranks, lol
  22. well +4 sounds like a good start. try it and if you are at 0 now, you will notice a difference immediately. you could go up, but you have to listen for noise, and watch the plugs for signs of detonation. that is why these guys run race fuel because with the higher compression, and more timing, they need higher octane to prevent it. but in my opinion, you would be fine at 4 degrees, over that and you risk damage if your not experienced with tuning.
  23. mags, u got mikuni's right? if so the jets are different numbers for the kehins this dude has. by the way, im lovin those graphics. shaun from tulsa.
  24. I have seen the same type of deal in our local papers want ads, saying that upon reciept of payment they will give you a number to call to claim your merchandise. then the number turns out to be bogus. damn people will try anything to get your dollar, and make you do all the work!!
  25. post up with your mods, or nobody will know which way to point you as far as where to set your timing.
