  1. You could always helicoil it. if installed correctly, a helicoil is stonger than tapped threads.
  2. No gaskets on the Trinity head, just o-rings like all the rest. JdiZzla Trinity head uses the stock studs also.
  3. I do mostly tight woods riding and hare scrambles, so I am looking for good bottom and mid. I am currently running FMF Gnarly pipes, which I like, but they do sign off pretty early. Jeff @ F.A.S.T. recomended the PT mids because they have great low end & mid, but don't sign off like the Gnarly pipes do. So, I figured it was worth a try
  4. I have access to Douglas .190 beadlock front rims. 10x5, 4/156 (yamaha front pattern), 4+1 offset. I can get these at a clearence price from the dealership i work at (they are actually for Polaris Predators). I am just checking how many people WOULD be interested in a set of these. If there is enough interest, I will order up a few sets of these (takes about a week to get them) to pass on to my fellow BHQ members. Sets will be $225 shipped just about anywhere in the US. These rims retail through Polaris for $169.99 EACH! I will try to get some pics up tonight. I have a set on my 'shee and I love 'em.
  5. I'm running Legend ZX-2R at 50:1. Best oil I have ever used in anything. I run it in both my 'shees, and my sled. For you power valve guys, it won't gum them up. check it out Legend ZX-2R
  6. Very True... But i still like the trinity head. I had a modquad head, then a noss head, (neither were ever installed) then the trinity. i never installed the modquad or noss head because i just didn't like the design inside the head (no flow pattern). However, the availability of the Pro-design style domes is very nice.
  7. I personally would recomend the trinity stage 4 head. they are definately more expensive than the others, but i picked mine up off ebay for $150 with domes. The trinity and vito's heads have a "flow pattern" to them that forces water down and out the cylinders, unlike the Pro-design head that allows water to flow across the head, not realy doing alot for the cylinders...IMO. Also, the trinity head uses the stock studs , and their domes have fins cut in them (water side of course) for even more heat transfer to the water. I have been able to pick-up several sets of domes for mine off ebay as well. I am not a big fan of trinity (or their prices!) but they make a damn nice head.
  8. the rubber "seals" in the clutch pack act like springs that help seperate "sticky" clutch plates when you dissengage the clutch. The factory probably did it to help smooth out the shifting... or to smooth clutch engagement  They are definately not needed, especially with an aftermarket clutch.
  9. with your clutch apart just as shown in the last photo, can you turn the inner hub and clutch basket seperately...in oposite directions? both should move freely of eachother.
  10. I have one that has been taken apart already(came in a box of banshee parts) and it came with 1 new wsm rod kit. all the parts are there to put it back together. although, you might want to purchase another rod kit for it, and of course all the bearings need replaced as well. i can send you pics if needed. make me an offer...
  11. Thanx for the info. i was kinda worried about the dent. i can deal with them not being pretty, but i didn't want something that had been modified with a hammer!
  12. I am most likely going to buy them, i am just waiting to see some up close pics of them before i send money.
  13. I run the cascade intake with the v-force 3s and cascade stuffers. they definately help on the 2into1 intake. Although the stuffers don't line up that great with the intake. a little dremel work and you can make them almost perfect. very nice set-up though. i love my 2into1.
  14. Who's got a set of pt's they want to get rid of? having a hard time finding a set of these at a decent price... any help?
  15. I am looking for a set of pt mids. Jeff at F.A.S.T. said that these are the pipes i need. so, who's got 'em. I Will trade a set of nice FMF Gnarly's w/ 2 sets of silencers for some pt mids if anyone is intested. I' have cash too.
  16. If you are new to banshees, i would say pick-up a 2into1 intake. they make life much easier when it comes time to jet it for your new mods. It makes the bike run awsome too! A cheap way to pick-up some power is a timing plate. +4 on your timing will make a noticeable increase in power, especially off the bottom. but, as 2strokespirit said, a good coolhead and reeds are usually a great investment AND, on banshees, money is sometimes better spent on the supension rather than the engine. you have to be able to ride it as fast as the engine will take it, and the stock suspension leaves a lot to be desired! especially when you start building more power!
  17. I ordered up and put one of these throttle assys on my shee a few months ago...SAME PROBLEM!! in order to make the thing fit, my master cylinder was in the middle of the bend on my fatbars, and the throttle tube was still hanging past the handlebar end by a good 1/2". since i work at a dealership, i looked through P.U. and found the solution. It's a 5 or 6mm billet spacer that goes on the inside of the clamp on your master cylinder. with this spacer, and a little bit of grinder work on the lever, now everything fits nicely. throttle tube is all the way on the bar and my master cylinder is where it should be. All in all, i like the throttle assy. It looks good, works well, and it's cheaper than most standard billet throttle assys. As far as the fitment thing goes... they are a "universal fit", so a little modification is to be expected. I would still recomend one to others, they are handy.
  18. I am a technician at a polaris dealership and whe have a 525 outlaw (irs version) . I can tell you this... you have to hang on to that thing! The engine just pulls sooo hard, and builds rpms like a 'shee. That irs chassis is about 50 pounds heavier than KTM's, and you know that the KTM handles better than Polaris' ... The KTM engine is amazing!!! I have to control myself to keep from bringing home that outlaw... I went to Pittsburg a few weeks ago and stopped into a Ducati, Triumph, KTM dealership...and there...right out front...was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen... The 525xc!! After seeing it in person, and sitting on it (they wouldn't let me ride it), I think I have to have one (of course the wife dissagrees). What an amazing quad. RACE READY in every aspect. I can't wait to start seeing them on the pro circuits... Smokin' the other 450's.! It's about time KTM steps up to the plate. OH! ON TOP OF HAVING INCREDIBLE POWER, THEY HAVE REVERSE!!
  19. I'm running a 36 pwk quadvent w/boyesen bowl. It runs awsome on my stock port 4mill. I was running a standard 35pwk. i just got a good deal on a new 36 so i picked it up. not sure if i noticed any difference. maybe a little more top-end, but nothing drastic. the boyesen bowl stopped the bogging through the woops though. all in all... $110 bucks well spent.
