  2. You need sparkys and flag. Good packing in your pipes and google silver lake resort and campground. I have some dates posted in the rides section under "windy city dune assault squad dates" If you go on any of those weekends, you can join us and we'll guide you through it all so your weekend goes smooth.

I'm hoofin it for 4 1/2 hours from the far west suburbs of Chicago to hit Silver Lake. I have dune dates posted and we'll be hitting the badlands once in late march and once in early april. Maybe I'll see ya. The Badlands is one of the top dirt spots you'll ever find.....

  10. If your a 100% alky burning drag racer - V2's for their peak power. If you ride anything else - V4's for way better bottom end, peak numbers that are almost the same as 2's and throttle responce that's even stronger than 3's. The stock 4's outshine the 3's even if the 3's had the stuffer mod. Some motors have shown as much as 7 extra HP of mid RPM power with the 4's. So much, that if you swap your 3's for a new set of 4's you should install one size larger pilot jet. This is all dyno tested info. Done on a wide variety of motors from bolt-on basic bikes on pump gas all the way thru alky burning draggers.
  11. Or........just put it back together and continue as you were. Really? Hone a cylinder with only 10 hours on it? So much for "rings doing their job by minimizing blowby" The cylinder isn't even pictured! Put it back together, lap that flywheel when you put it back on so it stays on...then go ride.

Isn't somebody suposed to tell a story about their 4 mill bike blowing through clutches untill they bought a 8 plate, installed all heavy springs and added a lock-up with a whole hardware store worth of nuts and washers?   16. Your not making enough power to need a lock-up. (Half heavy and half light springs should be all you need for clutch pressure for now. All heavy if YOUR heavy. LOL) Unless your (Non-override) trans is perfect, sometimes a lock-up can make speed shifting hit or miss. You should be fine. I'd go with an 8-plate before I did a lock-up on that machine.
