They require real sparkys. Can't get around that. As for sound, they only test randomly. In the last 15 years I've only been tested twice. They have never tested my big 10mill drag bike. They did however let me pass and then stop the next bike (my wife's 370 dune ported bike with FMF'S) She tested 97db (they have a 94db limit with a 3db leeway) So she made it in fine. If you KNOW your bike won't pass soundcheck.....just truck it in.

7 plate clutches with all heavy springs will start slipping at around 65HP. (You can't "hear" it, but it's there) 8 plates can hold 65HP with 1/2 heavy and 1/2 stock but start slipping closer to 70HP. All heavy's will get you to about 75HP. Anything over 80HP is definitely Lock-up territory. So depending on what you want for clutch pull will dictate when you NEED to move to a lock-up. All of Trickedcarbine's input regarding clutch set-up and tuning is very valid. But I would add that I wouldn't just slap a lock-up on a stock tranny. I would only run a lock-up on a ProMod or Override. Many (but not all) trannys get hard to shift with an Arm style lock-up unless they are at least a ProMod. I can't speak for a slingshot style for trail riding.

Well I've got some V-3's that are starting their 5th season. Debris might have been a factor with your Blaster reeds. Get some V-4's, go up a pilot size and enjoy having that 58HP Banshee brake into the 60's.

^^^ Agreed. Not the right length shock. Also, the bushings may be worn allowing the arms to not be placed correctly. There is ALWAYS a way to bent a Banshee front end to end up with somethings way off.

Doing it that way is NOT for the inexperienced. To be safe I would just tear it down the normal way.

Bushings for your A-Arms are bushings. Nothing special. You can get those and even Needle bearings models….but greasing stuff is the #1 thing to remember. Also, PLEASE use a torque wrench on the bolts and torque them to the proper spec. Too loose and the support pins spin and also your mounting holes can oval. Too tight and bolts snap.
