tire mounting problems

Gee thanks Radar. Happy New Year to you too. Sounds mean....but people don't listen to bad news effectively if you sugar coat it. Air them down - soak the beads in tire dress or hairspray - then air them up fast to 30-35. They should seat then. Might not seal perfect depending on the tire and rim. Then you can run them once or twice and list them on Craigslist and sell them for the value of the rims like everone else does. Next time feel free to ask site members for tire advice before buying. How's that for being an asshole? LOL -
Trinity use to tell people that longer rods = more cc's from the extra stroke. FFS

tire mounting problems
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to xXADRENALINE_JUNKIEXx's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Single worst sand tire design in the history of sand. I would run most brands of knobbies before I ran those hole digging geckos. One guy in our group got some used for his sisters 400EX. I told him they sucked....but for $50 he still bought them. After he had to help get her unstuck for about tge 6th time, he switched machines with her. Even he was gettung stuck! I jokingly suggested they would work better installed backwards. He swapped them and tried it. Still junk. Ended up running her knobbies at 2 PSI and liking them better. -
For full drag? K&T = F.A.S.T.E.R period.

In the dunes?.......they don't. 10 mill FTW all day!
-
Tall and narrow give you good hook, but better down track top end speed since the tires grow and the paddles bend into a curve. A lower power banshee (65hp) will like a 21×12 Where higher power bikes will like a 22×11

Try riding WOT in dunes at night. You'll figure out real fast where the phrase "Form follows function" comes from. His bike has the full baja look. That bike is a beast and set up well. Killer shocks to go with killer lighting. Looks good to me.

Go with the timing plate. The DYNO programmable CDI is known to fail.

Newbie with 421 cub - Kevin Herr Rocks
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to Qricker's topic in General Banshee Discussion
You got a great deal on that cub bike. I was watching that CL listing for a while. Great bike with a killer suspension. -
Happy for you. So will every 4-stroke you see. No more over used tire ever than a molded 8-paddle. Whatcha got some nice little Sand Geckos? NOTE: In the ATV world....rear tires are like biceps. You wanna show up with your Juniors department swingarm and run some weak sause tires....feel free. You can play leader to all the kids riding 400EX machines on knobbies.

They don't make a production 2-stroke streetbike. So there is no class to race them against 4-strokes. A basic YFZ450 can out rev a Banshee. How? Well on a Banshee the piston is very tall and has mass. The 4-stroke piston looks like somebody mounted rings on a QUARTER and then fitted a wristpin to the bottom. Raptor 700 = Banshee 350 350×2=700 so you see a 2-stroke makes the same power with 1/2 the cc's.

Crate the bike and send her to me. How would you like a nice 09 Suzuki 450 Limited edition in trade? (Black with red graphics and full nerfs)

Ok, for starters your "Friends" are just finding ways to lessen the amazing Dominance of your machine over theirs by making fuel consumption an issue. They drag you WAAAAAAY far out in the dunes hoping you'll be timid with the throttle for fear of running out of fuel. (They are running to the horizon to try and stay ahead of you somehow.) Why follow? Your bike has a fabulous suspension that will put theirs to shame. Get that bike's nose to the wind and run that bitch HARD for as long as you dare….then before they can get caught up….Spin that thing around and head back to top off on fuel. If you run them hard enough, they'll wanna go back for refreshments. LOL Network here on HQ and make some better ride friends. (4-stroke guys are just holding you back) Don't be part of the pokey parade. Team up with some other like minded guys. Or…..box up the fullbores and send them my way. Easier yet….Just crate the whole bike. I'll put it to good use. Then ask your "Friends" to recommend a nice 4-stroke that won't irritate their delicate sensibilities.

Might not be the issue at all.....but when you do get the problem solved....having your flywheel handgrenade on you will damage a ton of stuff.....

Rear suspension setup for a 10 mil without a wheelie bar
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to danysbanshee's topic in Drag Forum
^^^ So basically Danny has no clue what his track surface is? (He clearly listed hard packed dirt with clay mix) Sounds like he just bought a bike from someone and rode it "as is" maybe once or twice and quite possibly not even at that track he named..... -
