Crank weld wore off need help
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to Bipolarbanshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Agreed. Trust me I get your point about the general public. But as usual.....the guys intellect gets questioned first......then he has to post pics......then everyone guesses at all the ways it could be the owners fault. Everyone with a negative experience has to walk the gauntlet before being taken seriously. But YES.....Blame can fall on either party depending on the situation. But the little guy is always shouted down initially. Once a pattern is seen and accepted......then the next victim is called a fool for not researching first. They get zero sympathy because they didn't know about the bear trap. LOL -
Crank weld wore off need help
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to Bipolarbanshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
^^^ Real talk right there. The bigger the name....the more they walk on water in people's eyes. Goliath is always right and it's always David's fault. If the little guy ever manages to prove tge builder failed......everyone says "Hey everyone makes mistakes right?" And chocks it up as a lone issue. Till a bunch of people step in that same bear trap. Look at Passion. Years of cheerleaders. Till his porting loses 10HP in dyno testing and he falls off the grid for the better part of year. But those early complainers were told to lighten up....he's busy....try emails...try text...try PM...try this other number....he's a good guy....blah blah blah....your a dick for being mad....the good guys are busy.....you gotta wait for quality....I called a week ago and he always answers for me....strong motors....worth the wait. Everyone kills the messenger. -
Then your fucked. LOL Do like most people.....don't do any testing....just assume whatever YOU are currently doing is the best. Then stick your head in a hole and carry on.

October 4th Fall HQ ride BADLANDS Indiana
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to WINDYCITYJOHN400's topic in Riding and Events Forum
Yep. I'm going on the HQ ride to LS. Getting home Monday and hitting The Badlands 5 days later on Saturday. Then 2 weeks later it's St.Joe MO! Yes....fall riding is in full swing. (All rides are listed in rides section) -
Yes that airbox kills power. Much the same as the aluminum box from PRM kills power in testing. Stock airboxes (even with the lids off) are even worse. Pods make the best power and with an entire riding career using pods.....I can say, that theory about motor failures being related to pod use is complete hogwash. Dirty filters and filters that are not sealed to the carb or airbox correctly will "Dust" a motor easily and you can ride the rings/bearings out of a motor in a single ride. Pods with Outerwear's are perfectly safe for use and are the least restrictive in terms of power. The #1 cause of motor failure is stupidity. Lean jetting, poor quality oils, running motors with piston slap, junk fuel, making mods and not adjusting jetting.....all = user error. Motors are very reliable when not inbthe hands of dipshits.

They work great. You'll end up at approx 57 HP. With the crank and pistons. There is a nice post in the dyno section titled something like Random Dyno Results. It might be a page or two back. But it has a few tests with the Vito's Super Stock pistons with various upgrades. Give it a look.
-
If your bike is not ported....get the Vito's Super Stock pistons. They add a solid 7HP and are a noticeable improvement over stock. (They simulate mild porting) But you WILL need to go up in your jetting to accommodate for the extra power. Plus they are about tge same price as the other pistons you are already looking at.

^^^ OMG I use to try to help people like you. I would spend time explaining why you were about to make a mistake. Provide helpful info. But you know what?.......You deserve the challenges life throws you and you deserve to learn from the foolish choices you make on your own. I don't do this for many people.....but if you are in the market for an ebay engine kit.....give the guys at Parts Depot a glance. Good luck. Either way....you're going to need it. LMFAO -

What fuel should I be running in my engine?

That's not something you LET happen. It just happens. But the bike dictates the budget. LOL -
October 4th Fall HQ ride BADLANDS Indiana
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to WINDYCITYJOHN400's topic in Riding and Events Forum
Knobbies. I wouldn't bother with paddles. The "Strip" is an open area of......pea gravel and dragging there is nothing to talk about. For that kind of action "Silverlake Dunes" is the place to go. -
