The ultimate showdown cool head vs shaved stock head
TeamRealtreeHD replied to SLORYDER's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Wow. This is pretty fucking amazing. -
Yea, I agree. More tape will do it. I was having a few issues like this when I first installed mine. I recently just took it off, to clean it, and clean my tank out. I took the old tape off, put new tape on, and put it back on. More tape will solve that problem.

white smoke coming out of right exhaust pipe!
TeamRealtreeHD replied to moflicky's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
That seems like the symptoms of a bad crank seal. -
I am a big fan of TAG Metal bars. I haven't had a bad set yet. I love them.

t5's trade for ported cylinders, or 33pwks
TeamRealtreeHD replied to 2sTrokeLove's topic in Swap and Trade
Those cylinders were done by Advanced Machining. Al does awesome work. Those cylinders came off of my good buddy's bike. 421OUTLAW on here. The bike ran hard. On a side note, Jack... why don't you trade those CPI's for the Trinity's? -
www.farmandsandtoys.com He has the best clutch out there. Will never wear out on you. He has all you need. And is great to deal with. His name is Jeff and he is a site sponsor.
-
Bought some parts off Jesse. He is a standup guy. Very honest and very good to deal with. I wish everyone was as good to deal with as him. I would tell anyone to go through him.
-
Yup, don't overfill and get the billet impellar. Heat does wonders to fluid levels and plastic impellars.
-
Jason is a great fella to do business with. Very honest person. If guys dealt like him, there wouldn't be bullshit in transactions. I highly recommened. Thanks Jason for a great deal. Good luck with your build and be safe and have fun! Tony

Thanks for the info guys. However, I am looking to keep my plastics all stock. I like the rubber ones for some reason. I have 1 of them. Heck, if anyone has just one of them, that will do here.
-
If anyone has the little black rubber gas tank strips that go on each side of the top of the tank, and connect to the tank cover, please let me know. I'd like to get another set.

Best tire for hillclimbing on loose coal banks ?
TeamRealtreeHD replied to Meat's topic in Hillclimb
That is where I got mine. GCT Wholesale. They gave me a smoking deal back in May. If Super Swamper stops making tires for us, this will be the tire that takes over. I would bet on it. -
Best tire for hillclimbing on loose coal banks ?
TeamRealtreeHD replied to Meat's topic in Hillclimb
"Tire"????? Nothing beats a Swamper. Paddle? Nothing beats the Paddlemaster. Cyclones are a good bet since they are still in production. Swamp Witch, made by Deestone, are a good climbing tire. Stock them. Tell Tom to get them. He'd sell alot of them. I told him and Del to get the,. They are a good tire. I've been running them and I am very happy with the wear, the hookup, etc. They are on the rear of my bike right now in my signature. I run/ran all the above, and that is my list. -
I run Sunoco Race fuels. Can name others with big motors doing the same too. No problems.
-
Also, there is a retainer that screws in the frame to hold bearing, etc. If this loosens, you will also get play in the stem up and down.

Eric bought a few things from me. Sent payment fast and was a pleasure to do business with. I wouldn't hesitate to buy or sell to him again. Thanks Eric!

FMF Fatty's with power Core 2 silencers would be a good bet. -

I am concerned about running NGK's. Can anyone give me some input on these things? I got the ones that attach right to the threads of the plug.

NGK Spark Plug Cap Question
TeamRealtreeHD replied to TeamRealtreeHD's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Anybody running these caps? Or should I go back to stockers? I paid 5 bucks apiece for them. -
If it was me, 1-2 gallons of a little race fuel in that 5 gallon mix will have you more than safely covered. I do 2.5 and 2.5... 50/50. I can't stand it. Hurts the wallet. But better be safe than sorry. 23 cc domes with a gallon or 2 of race fuel in the 5 gallon mix will be more than safe.
-
Thanks I tried everything from +4 to +7 on my setup, at 1/2 increments (as best as the human eye can see atleast) and for some reason, it runs best at +4. It seems to go against the science of 4mil cubs as they like fuel and timing. Mine likes fuel, but likes less timing. However, I am also doing something alot of guys don't do with cubs on this site. I hillclimb it up walls. Most guys running cubs run them straight line track or dune. All of this may change after Kevin drag ports the cylinders. I currently have a cleanup. We will see I suppose. Most guys running the hills here are using Powervalved cylinders. So the ball game changes there. One thing still sticks though in this philosophy. Every setup is different, and as you said, better to play it safe than eat a top end or worse because of playing with fire. I think the original poster here would be fine with 23cc domes and no more than +4 timing. I am at 1300 feet ASL. I know I can get away with pump on +4 but have yet to grow the nads to try it. I do know alot of guys running 23cc domes with the same compression numbers running pump. Funny thing about pump gas... you go to a gas pump. They have 1 pump and tube for the station. You press the 92/93 button. How long does it take to actually get 92/93 fuel? I target non-ethanol stations with 3 separate pumps. One for regular, one for mid grade and one for premium. Even though I mix it with race fuel, I know I'm getting 92/93. And not 1-2 gallons of 87 before the premium starts coming out. Just something to think about.
-
I am running 23's too. However, I am mixing to be safe. I've thought many a time to run pump. Trust me. I know I can. Kevin says be safe though, so that's what I'm doing. I'm not too far from you. I'm getting 160 PSI too. .020" base gasket. Timing plays a a key role here. 23cc domes is border with pump IMO on many setups out there if you run high advanced timing. I wouldn't go above +4 timing with 23cc domes personally on pump. But that's just me. And I know nothing. I'm a safe cat though. I do know that.

NGK Spark Plug Cap Question
TeamRealtreeHD replied to TeamRealtreeHD's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
You are right. I eventually figured it out. Thanks to Meat (BHQ Supporter and moderator) and Del at Gap Racing where I got them at. The caps I got from them are the kind that you have to remove the threaded tip and plug the plug cap right onto the threads on top of the plug. IMO, that is the way to go. It seems much more sturdy and dependable. Atleast I know they will work. I hope NGK plug caps are good. I hear good things about them. I guess we will find out. -
Will NGK LB05F plug caps work for the banshees? I am using NGK BP8ES plugs. I am reading that LB05E is for banshees. I don't know the difference between LB05E and LB05F.. The only difference is the last letter. I got LB05F plug caps. Can anyone tell me if these will work (LB05F)? Or do I need different LB05E? Maybe I'll just run the stockers. Seems NGK spark plug caps aren't common among the BHQ guys. Thanks
