  1. DMC 916's. Decent shape. Crappy factory mount fixed. Looking to trade for a set of FMF SST's or Fatties. In NICE shape, no rusted FMF's. I know ive been back and fourth but now im serious about trading.
  2. Maxima Super M, Klotz Supertechniplate, and Mobile1 synthetic (sadly discontinued..) Yamalube is shit. I ran in in mine and my fathers once, worst oil I ever used. Smoked up a storm and fouled up really quick if you weren't on the throttle. I never touched it again. One time havoline was the only oil available.. so I ran it the one time. Believe it or not, it runs 10x better then with the yamalube.
  3. I bought some shocks from him today. Exactly as described and a good price. Thanks again dude
  4. Picking up some triple rate works at steelers tomorrow. I want to take the springs off so I can clean up the main shock body and such. I know it can be done because I seen pictures of one with the springs off. Thanks
  5. Which by the way your bike looks amazing. Honestly, I think the large tanks are completely gay and horrifying, but yours seems to pull it off really well.
  6. Sweet, Bethlehem is pretty close to me. That works. And Tuesday/Wednesday also works for me. I'll pm you my phone number so when you find out when you're definitely heading out and what time, you can just give me a shout so we're not playing post tag. haha. Thanks again for being understanding bro
  7. Actually.. how about 210? Like I said i don't want to sound like an a-hole, but they do need some cosmetic TLC.
  8. To be honest with you bro, I sat down and did some research and talked to my father, and I don't think i would want to pay more then 200 for them. I mean functionally they're fine but they definitely look aged. No offense, it's just im a perfectionist like that. Knowing me, I would want to send out the shocks to get the springs powdercoated and polish up the shock bodies. I mean for $200 I would go pick them up for sure. But it's up to you. Sorry dude, don't want to sound like an ass.
  9. Oh, and sorry again, but i mean were these shocks fairly soft when you pushed down on the quad? Im not much of a huge air person and want it to be plush and soak stuff up. Thats why I was asking about what they were built for, MX ones are usually pretty stiff. And im going to be running them on stock arms for the one ride until my extended ones come back from powdercoat.
  10. Sounds good. I have off from school all week too so ill talk to my father and we'll come up with a day, then ill let ya know whats going on. $235 works for me. And just so we're on the same page, hamburg, NJ correct?
  11. Oh and sorry for being a pain in the ass, haha, but what different adjustments are on it? Im not too familiar with the works shocks.
  12. Actually I just talked to my father. He'd be willing to drive me to Hamburg to pick up the shocks. (He has this old beater bonneville that gets almost 30mpg highway haha.) That way, I could see the actual shocks in person too before I pay for them. I always prefer to do deals in person when possible. Plus we're heading to the coal mines Saturday so it gives me time to bolt em up for the ride and such. So if thats ok with you, when were you planning on going to hamburg? And whenever you take the pics and the info on the shocks, just post em up in this thread. Then we can go from there
  13. Would you be willing to meet half way? From Piscataway, NJ from my house, is 1hr 40mins. I figure about 50mins each, about 45 miles. Just wondering. I looked up hamberg, it's not much of a difference. (1hr 30mins)
  14. Some cleaned up pics would be great I'll look up those two addresses right now.
  15. And also liftd where are you located? I see it says you're in Jersey so maybe we can meet up somewhere so we can do the deal in person.
  16. What shape are they in? In the pictures it looks like the springs color is faded and there's some rust. And also, what type of riding are the valved for? Recreational? MX?
  17. Grr I really want those shocks.. I just looked around to see if I have anything of value to put on top of the 300 but can't find anything.. Would you be willing to take $300 + my stock shocks? I have paypal ready.
  18. Sorry, i'd love to have those shocks but on a strict budget of 300 because that's all I have in christmas money. And I know you most likely wouldn't sell them for that much. Thanks though
  19. Looking for a set of standard travel front shocks. Elka or Ohlins preferred, but will consider others. Set-up for +2 arms and a rider over 200 pounds. Thanks
  20. Thanks guys Yeah, I got tired of the raptor plastics real fast. Believe it or not, I actually REALLY liked them when I first got them, and compared to my spray-painted nightmares they were better. Made it feel like a modern quad. But after one ride... I just thought it look hideous. The proportions are all off. I like these UFO's and don't plan on cutting them. I actually like the looks of a non-cut front fender. I honestly don't like chopped fenders. After I get the arms on, I MIGHT consider cutting them like DMC's quad, because that's my favorite type of cut, but I doubt it.
  21. One more thing I forgot to mention, I bought a stock head off of herc also. The trinity was warped too bad.
  22. Ended up hating the craptor plastics.. traded them for a set of UFO's. (Thanks 410mayhem!) Also installed HD clutch springs, new jets (was a little lean), j-arm bushings. Bought a new bumper and barpad. And that's all! Hope you enjoyed it. Getting +2 +1 J-arms for christmas, and with the money I get from family, im sending the cylinders to Kevin at HJR for an aggressive dune port.
  23. Bought new crank bearings and put them on the crank. Started re-assembling the motor. The cylinders were bored to .050 by Passion racing with new wiseco pro-lite's. Also traded a PS2 and a bunch of games for that head, which ended up being warped. (Thanks to the one asshole on this site.. wish I remembered his name.) For temporary, painted the plastics black. This was the tuning stage. Had so many problems until I realized the slides were in the carbs backwards. (Thanks herc, haha) Cleaned it up real good. Got it tuned in real nice. Got maier craptor plastics. Also found White bros front rims to match the rear white bro's.
  24. Well I haven't been on the site in a long time.. Don't usually visit this site very often. Some of you may remember a while back I kept coming on and asking a ton of questions, because I had gotten my first banshee and was rebuilding it from the ground up. Well, it's been almost a year. I had posted this on a bunch of other forums but figured I would share with you guys too. Here's what that disaster of a quad turned into. When I first got the banshee... No spark... Blown engine... Took a long time to troubleshooting, but it ended up being the stator. Bought a stator from a fellow member on here. It was time to tear her down and do the engine. Pulled the head off. Wasn't pretty... badly overheated and pitted on one side. Got the cylinders off. Piston was badly scuffed and rings were welded to the piston! Rolling frame. Split the cases. Transmission was in nice shape. One of the crank bearings was split perfectly in the middle all the way around, and fell to pieces.
