  6. sent money, two chrome ones please, gotta showem off !!!!!
  7. yea that would be real close, toomey recomends 280s from sea level up to 2500, and you otta drill 1 inch holes in your air box lid so it can breath, you can go to your dealer and buy some 1 inch filters for the holes. think they come in a six pack. pay attn. to where you drill, other setups available.
  8. thanks guys! i also was wondering would my bike be running as good as it is, reel good! if the rings were worn out? i wonder because of the eccess oil on plugs & a little out the silencers.
  9. i can tell you what i run at 1000 asl ,280 mains stock pilots with t5s needle 4th groove from blunt end. hope this helps when you figure out elevation, youll get it, good luck!
  10. no matter how i jet it or adjust it, my plugs seem to be wet so i thought i would try hotter plugs. seems to have helped keep plugs dry and runs alot better, just not sure if its safe to leave them in, since i run the bike wot full time, You know how it is! 280 mains, stock pilots, alba needles 4th notch rich, air screw 2 out ,pro reeds, k&n mod airbox lid, t5s plugs b7es. never done a compression check on it,and i do get a little bit of fuel out my silencers. but the bike runs really strong for stock. 1997 should i stick with standard b8es plugs?
  11. yea just be easy with that impact, iused one to take mine off , and it tried to cross thread on me. had to use thread file on shaft. good luck!
  12. im at about 1000 asl and have basically same set up, i run 280s 4th notch rich & stock pilots airscrew 1 1/2 out & pro reeds, k&n with lid and like 8 one inch holes, runs great! GOOD LUCK.
  13. you got me, the shaft wasnt scared up or anything. just might have been dry some how, no way it would have come off without the pulley, thats prolly why everything was shot. it looked like someone had tried to get it off before by how the spacer was scared on outside from plyers or some other tools.
  14. Hey thanks you guys for any help given, i got it off by grinding 3 sharp edged grooves and used three arm pulley without any damage.
  15. that plate really doesnt have anything to do with holding the spacer on does it? think im going to have to take die grinder or something to cut it off carefully.
  16. yes, im not sure if its siezed on there or not. ill try taking the plate off, i bought this 97 and the clutch never was right, got into it and everything needed replaced.
  17. yes thats it, got all new parts, eccept for the spacer. i will get it if i can get the old one off. do you mean im skrewed if the spacer is stuck on the main shaft or what? not sure how to do the pics thing yet.
  18. ill talk to my buddy, hes lookin for one for a good price. also here in Indy.
  19. the clymers manual calls it starter drive gear, its supposed to be connected to the housing/basket, but mine seperated so i got a pulley today and got that off, now i have another problem. the spacer that the housing rides on is stuck on main shaft, and i have no idea how to get it off. there is no space to get a pully or anything else behinde it or the thrust washer, im not sure if it is supposed to spin freeley on the shaft or not, i think so. HELP!
  20. i bought new clutch housing, boss & clutch. new housing came with small starter gear attached, got old housing off , but small gear stayed on. im not sure how it comes off it wont slide off, do i need to get a pulley, is there something else holding it? thanks for any help.
