  13. grease fitting will help. you pack it with grease and the water wont get in. i change mine when i see play in the axle. no play no change :biggrin:
  14. if you have newer style spindles with the hubs they will work on J-arms but you need both. older spindles dont fit 91 and up hubs. i think it was a 13 or 14 pound difference in the front end. i seen that in the clymer manual. the front brake lines are also different on the J-frame but if you have 91 and up parts they will fit you just need to use every thing but the arms. i have 2 J-arm frames and have no problems in trails or hills. i also put on D-arms to replace the J-arms. i cant say J-arms suck seeing i never had a problem with them but they are gettingg harder to find and pricey.

I split a crank in 2 once and now that i think about it, it was backfiring previous to the brake. i`m can`t say thats your problem but thats my story. if i were you i would pop them peddles out of them V-force 3 reeds and hold them baby's up to the light to see if you have pin holes in them and if you do replace them bitches. thats my opinion.
