so i took head off and there was water in one cylinder, and that side the pipe was full of water... so i guess i re do it all, im taking the head intomorrow to local machine shop see if its flat or not.it has been milled a little by the prev owner, maybe they screwed something up!

ok i think i might have other problems to.... i cant keep water in the radiator...i filled the radiator, filled the resv. it just pee's right out the overflow tube. like a steady stream, and its bubbles in the resv tank,.. so i took cap off to see if any water was being moved around in the radiator, i went to start it and itjust shot water all over the garage.. what the heck?

i did bump up two main jets sizes, 290 is whats in there. listed all the mods in first post, nothing else done to her.

so i went to the silver lake sand dunes this holiday weekend, and was wondering where my jets should be at. fmf gold pipes with stock silencers (only ones i had with spark arrestors) filter pod air filters, mild dune trail port, .20 over cylinders.. i trail rode with it the day before and it stayed right around 160 for water temp, the next day it completely changed, it kept spiking up, antifreeze was leaking out the overflow tube, i would get to top of hill and there would be smoke coming off pipes from water dripping, and it really seemed lack of power,seemed like it took forever to hit power band,but once it hit seemed ok, but could never get into 5 or 6th gear, wich last year before i did these new ports and cylinders i could.. i should be making more power now not less! lol thanks

nice! i tried something like this last year only out of like aluminum screen for your windows (not the new nylon stuff lol) and it lasted one ride and blew out. gotta try this as i go to dunes to! its like yeah we are going to catch the sand on fire!!! haha

let me start off i know nothing about porting so thats why im turning to you guys, i have these cylinders that are suppose to be ported for trail/dune but not exactly sure how it suppose to look if its that. so i took some pictures sorry just with my phone i can get better ones if need. it also came with new pistons (suppose to be like .10 or .20 over ) i took a pic of the top of the new pistons im sure they will tell you guys something, also theres a pic of another set of pistons he gave me but those ones are used. doesnt look like anyone has messed with the ports on the new pistons.also came with a milled head (in pic) just a stock one. also came with new reeds and know nothing about those as well, all in pics any advice is welcome, got a clymer manual on it. have tore some cylinders down but never anything with port jobs http://s110.photobucket.com/albums/n106/brian102/banshee%20parts/ mods to my shee fmf fatty gold pipes (looking for different ones to need ones with spark arrestors) pod filters on the carbs.

so when i bought my pipes someone punched out the spark arrestors, and of course in michigan you have to have spark arrestors has anyone had any luck putting something in there, like a diy thing or should i just start looking for new pipes?

its a shame they are coming to an end:( its ok they will be around for a very long time just not new!just better:)

im hearing the same ticking noise i think, it started last year never knew what it was, i put a new clutch in it, cuz that went out but the noise still continued!

wow thats a sweet website ive been looking for some where you can filter those towers out! well one tower is about 7 miles in a straight line from my house, has to go over a big lake to get here dunno how that affects it, then the others are like 12 miles away

20s,... or 21... cc domes is the question i want to be able to run pump gas, elevation mostly at 1000ft but sometimes ride at silver lake sand dunes, around 5-600 ft? with chariot cool heads mods filter pods fmf fatty gold pipes 120 psi compression right now on stock heads its an 02 never rebuilt or anything like that thanks

model number? i work at autozone and how did ya tee it in, any pictures?

just wondering what people are using to find temps of their motor, would love a gauge! are you doing exhaust temp or water temp? and using what sensors? anything i can get at a local parts store to help out? cause i mean i work at autozone so the 20% off my stuff never hurts!! thanks brian

if your worried about top end do a compression check and hope the number come above 105-110
