it has the ebrake but i took the cable off. dose that need to be bypassed? it wont hit the powerband, and its very doggy, i called jeff and he gave me some pointers. ill try them and see what happens. but please respond with the ebrake

hey guys, I got my girls shee back together after painting the frame. all I did to the motor was took off the tors. it ran just fine before. now it runs horrible! ive tryed everything under the moon that i can think of. it has no power what so ever, it wont even hit the power band. i took the carbs apart and cleaned everything, it had wopping 30 size idle jet in it so i changed it to a 25. the main is a 280, with the needle clip in the middle, i am at sea level. with the air box lid off and it has T5's. i rode it yesterday and messed around with the air screws and it seemed to be getting better, but, not like it should. what else could it be???

my girls reeds have a small space between the center reed(smaller one) and the bigger one, would this be the reason it runs like shit?? are they suppost to be laying flat on eachother?

24-1?? thats alot of oil! I use to run spectra 32-1 in my yz and I had to hold it WOT so it wouldnt foul a plug. after learing more about oil and mixures i ran 50-1 klots r50 and it runs great now. Oil has a big difference how how your machine runs. just my $.02

yes, you will have to make some spacers for the top of the 300 shock though ill get some pics if you need some

looks good to me, i think what im going to do is design my own, but on the base line of what cascade makes, but make it so it attatches to the swinger towards the rear, and have it a 2 piece design, ill cut it out on our CNC at work, and ill let you guys know how it turns out!

I want to buy a chain Cascade Chain Sliderslider for my tubed +4 swinger, I was wondering about how it hooks up?? any pics? or info?

300 ex shocks in the front, and for the rear a r6 rear shock will do. makes everything level, also you can take the stock banshee rear shock and take off the spring and cut the 2 locking nuts off of it, then adjust the bigger one all the way up, it lowers it quite a bit, but depending on what type of riding you do, the right combo is up to you :beer:

^ what he said :thumbsup: i did not catch what shudakeptquiet said the first time. so lets rule out that its not to rich(more oil). why is it smoking so bad?? is it the oil itself thats making it smoke and not so crisp?

jeff from FAST says to adjust the arrow 1/4 to 1/8in to the stator side of the motor, i know not every clutch is the same but when you buy a new fast clutch that is what he recemends, a tusk kit and a fast kit have differences, depends on what you have! I second bansh-eman's method though :thumbsup:

cheap castrol oil from advanced auto parts is what i used, and its really smoky and not running right

hey guys i just got my girls shee back together yesterday, i didnt do anything to the motor, just took off the air box lid, and it had 280 jetts in it with the needle 2nd from the bottem, i didnt have any good oil like klotz, so i went to the auto store and bought some castrol 2 stroke oil just to get her runnin, i mixed it 50.1, and she smokes BAD! and when i wrap on the throttle its not "clean" sounding. i thought the jetting was off so i changed the jetts to a 270 and moved the clip to the middle. it runs better but not great, i was adjusting the air bleeds out and it seems to be getting better, but would the shitty oil make that much of a difference? it also has T5's. and it was about 50 degrees out at 500 elev. any ideas?
