  1. You said it happened right after cleaning the air filters? Maybe you got dirt or sand in the carbs and its clogging one of the circuits. I'd pull the carbs, open them up and pull the jets and spray carbcleaner and blow out all circuits and use air also...
  2. Scott, Try the inserts from Wurth...use a little red lock tight on the insert... And dont torque them too tight...I skip the torque wrench and just use a boxend or ratchet...go by feel...the o-ring heads seal much better than the stock gaskets.
  3. Butch...are you kidding me??? Kev not sleep...he needs ALL the beauty sleep he can get!
  4. Item number: 270245668820
  5. T-Rex assembly for sale on ebay
  6. exactly my point! well said...
  7. Couldnt be more wrong Kev...I'm not bitter... I Chose the wrong Quad to begin with! You knew that... The LT takes way too much $$$ and custom parts to get it to run with the Banshee...it doesnt matter who built it.
  8. I could build a totally bolt on powervalved banshee motor with tons of bottom end power and still have a cheaper more reliable easier to modify and work on motor than an LT 500! Dont get me wrong...the LT500 is ok for what it is...but dollar for dollar and cc for cc the banshee is hands down the winner... and if you want tons of reliable bottom end...get a 4 poke
  9. Zillas are good when built right $$$$$$$ with LOTS of custom Q parts $$$$$$$$$ but lets see you go to any of the vendors at glamis to get a part for your Q Zilla... Dollar for dollar you cant beat the banshee...and come on guys...your talking a very basic banshee motor up against a much larger displacement highly modified LT motor with custom$$$$$$$( to be able to make it run correctly)one off parts... My LT 500 sits in the garage in a pile...to expensive to repair and keep running...my banshee is running and ready for a day trip to glamis this sunday...Kev and James...you guys ready?
  10. Be careful! If you go to Glamis you'll never want to ride anywhere else!
  11. Just do what Kev tells you to do...to the letter! He knows his $hit... You'll be happy!
  12. Tedd...whay the switch to the stock front end????
  13. I run the complete yfz front...thats including the spindles which give you more travel...17.5" eye to eye
  14. James...AKA...President LowBuck and Jeff are two top notch guys to deal with... Hmmmm....LowBuck for President...I like the sound of that!
  15. I did a complete 450 swap...spindles,hubs,rotors and calipers and used some Long Travel Elkas I had from another quad...17.5" eye to eye...they fit perfectly! If you are using the banshee stock spindles then you dont get as much travel...I think it might be as much as 3" less...but dont quote me on that...
  16. Lowbuck... That Shee looks great! Kinda shiny and pretty...you'll have to change your name to fancybuck soon....
  17. LowBuck...give them back! I already see things I need to touch up! LOL!!! Glad you like em...
  18. Hey guys...Kevs got the best rig out there...If you know of any other rig you can drive, cook and watch TV all while sitting on the crapper reading a magazine then let me know!
  19. I've seen a lot of both pipes... Personally I like the Shearers...and that is what we sell... I don't know about all of you...but its pretty damn hard to find aftermarket parts that are a true bolt on...there is always some kind of fitting to do...no matter what you are building/modifying... I've got an old set of Shearers...there is some kind of spacer on every mount! So that meant a trip to the local hardware store for some spacers and longer bolts...but in the end they fit and perform great! Never mind the small dent and chipped chrome from hitting the head...only I know it's there...
  20. They were my personal extreme dune ported jugs with all the HJR tricks. And Kevin being the tuning guru that he is set up the jetting(main, pilot and needle) to a T! It has a cool head setup for race gas.We also welded the crank. The clutch that was in the quad had a bunch of broke fibers...so it got a new clutch and springs...and just a bunch of HJR detail work...
  21. Ben... Glad you liked your HJR motor! Any time you need anything don't hesitate to call... How did you like the way the fender cut came out? Fran
  22. Hey Bansh-eman... I didnt know you were going up to Kevs to watch the fights...I heard they were good... I took my son out to Glamis for a father son over nighter...or we would have been there... I've known Kev for over 20 years...there isnt a motor that he cant figure out and make run better than the factory ever intended in their wildest dreams!
  23. I had some long travel elkas left over from my LT500...17.5" eye to eye...I did the YFZ a-arm swap...including the hubs, brakes and spindles. It handles GREAT! I mostly dune and the geometry is perfect for what I do...it's a little on the twitchy side so I might add a steering damper. I traded some old LT500 parts for my setup...so it was a very cheap upgrade with great results...I think the key to getting the setup correct is using the right length shocks...which are 17.5" eye to eye...the stock YFZ shocks are to short for the YFZ a-arm swap...and it only widens the front a tad over 2"....
