  1. Also Look to see if you have scratches on the slides inside your carbs. Back when I was running the stock air box setup and even the bolt in pro flo air filter kit my bike would suck a lot of sand, due to all the clamping connections in the stock intake system(carbs, boots, box, then air filter) If your not riding through water,I would suggest running pod filters. The Pods clamp right to the carb so they totaly minimizes the chance of shit entering your engine.
  2. Fuck dude that aint bad at all. Do you pump it yourself or is it in 5 gallon pails? If that's an anybody everday price PM me some details  I'm in Tucson about once a month.
  3. Holy fuck!! I last bought C-12 about 4 months ago for something like 48 buck for a 5 gallon pail in Phoenix.
  4. Just looked in my clymers. Says 20 foot lbs for both.
  5. I'm looking for a little more umph from my off the shelf cylinder. I read alot of rave reviews on his port work on stockers, but I haven't heard much about him porting cubs. I'm looking for something a little more then a clean up but not quite a full blown drag port. I guess somthing in between. So let me hear from the guys that have ported cubs from him. Thanks.
  6. Heres a wicked sounding 2into1 pipe!! This one has always been one of my favorites. I don't know if it's a motofast or dynoport pipe. Turn up the volume!!
  7. What time? It's hotter then shit out, 114* today. My bikes are already over heating just sitting in the garage.
  8. I run a shift pro kit with a modded star and I don't have any complaints. It does have a very light spring and It feels like if I sneezed on it that it would pop out of gear, but that hasn't happened yet after 12-15 hard dune trips. I don't rember it popping out of gear at all,not that it couldn't happen though just my expierence.
  9. Cool guys thanks for your advise. I'm probably gonna just buy the toomey packing kit, that was suggested. I used that on my T6's a couple years ago and I thought it worked pretty well. So that should work fine. The Shearer silencers and toomey's are almost exactly the same size.
  10. All the packing has blown out and it sounds like shit. Just wondering what everyone uses, and what works better, that stringy shit that you pack in there or the padded stuff you can roll up and stuff in there. Thanks.
  11. Just got back from a 35 mile desert/mountain trail loop. Here's my review Things I like about the Kawi: -It's a blast in the tight and twisty stuff -Feels light, fun to jump and wheelie -Perfect ergoes for me (5'10'') -Pretty torquey -Very close ratio tranny -Suspension feels a little more plush than the other guys' 450's (YFZ,LTR) -Reverse (I know gay, but I used it so many times) Dislikes: -Front end wanders all over the place (light front end, short wheelbase) -Kept looking for 6th gear (it's got 14-38 gearing but the tranny must have some low gears in there) -Seat feels like a 2x4 (It's worse than the early model YFZ's) -5th gear pinned feels like my Banshee in 3rd Overall I'm happy with it. I wanted to buy a KTM525xc but not for $3500 more The Kawi will do things my Banshee won't do and vise versa.
  12. They hold there own.The Kawi has a lighter front end and a shorter wheel base making it a little more nimble, but IMO all the jap 450's are so close in comparison it's hard to choose one unless your a particular brand loyal person. The Kawi is really, really corked up in stock form, therfore it gets beat up alot in the magazines in the power department.
  13. No but it looks like it huh. It's a Kawasaki KFX450R. Aluminum frame, fuel injected, and reverse. It's nice to just jump on and push start and go, but it doesn't give me the thrills that the Banshee does. Yea all the new 4 strokes look a lot alike.
  14. Needed something to hop on and ride some trails up north. I can't wait till dune season.
  15. Good choice man you'll love your new ride!! money well spent.
  16. I apologize if some find this offensive. Top 10 reasons why there are no black NASCAR drivers: # 10 - Have to sit upright while driving. # 9 - Pistol won't stay under front seat. # 8 - Engine noise drowns out the rap music! # 7 - Pit crew can't work on car while holding up pants at the same time. # 6 - They keep trying to carjack Dale Earnhardt Jr. # 5 - Police cars on track interfere with race. # 4 - No passenger seat for the Ho. # 3 - No Cadillac's approved for competition. # 2 - When they crash their cars, they bail out & run. #1 -They can't wear their helmets sideways.
  17. When the Boogeyman goes to sleep every night he checks his closet for Chuck Norris Chuck Norris secretly sleeps with every woman in the world once a month. They bleed for a week as a result Some people wear Superman pajamas. Superman wears Chuck Norris pajamas Chuck Norris once visited the Virgin Islands. They are now the Islands Death once had a near Chuck Norris experience Rosa Parks refused to get out of her seat, because she was saving it for Chuck Norris
  18. I've been running a G-force axle for about 8 dune trips now, and it's working for me. I just can't keep the axle nut tight?? It's heavy but for $199 with the nut, at Rocky Mountain Atv it's the best bang for the buck IMO.
  19. I'll be out there most likely. Don't know were I'm camping though, only been up to Glamis once. We always go to Buttercup or Gordon's.
  20. Thanks man, you got yourself a nice clean shee as well You would be surprised what black wheels can do for some bikes. While I was rebuilding the bike I had the stock wheels and tires on so I could roll it in,out, and around the garage and although the bike was coming along quite nicely, I was'nt nearly as happy with it until the black wheels went on. With your frame and the black accents around your bike,I think some black wheels would really set that thing off!! Do it!!
  21. I dont have an override and im very happy with the way it shifts, but there are some instances when im really high in the rpm's it does'nt want to shift from 2nd to 3rd. Over a weekend it may do this only a hand full of times though, and it's usualy when theres more of a load on the motor like shooting the hill.Unless I make it more of a dragger, I'll keep it this way. As far as duning the cub I love it! It basicaly has the same characteristics as my stock crank, unported all bolt on mods motor. It just feels like the whole power band has moved up about 3 grand, with twice the topend power,so I may be a little higher in the R's when Im duning, but thats what makes it so fun!!
  22. Hey thanks for the kind words Heres a couple from before Presidents day weekend 07 Glamis
  23. Finaly figured out how to post my pics!! my 421 cub duner
  24. Shit!!! sorry guys for the tease. Yea I guess I need help. File size to big. I'm crashing now, but I'll have pics up tomorrow, sorry!! Btw, in my first post I had typed every thing in paragraph form, but after posting, it bunched everything together??
