it will take more than a set of pipes to beat a 250 2stroke dirtbike, they are light as hell, and have some crazy top end power, once those things get goin they are gone.. its worth a shot though,, give it a try, haha
-
hahah good shit, we used to put 2 in my f150 sometimes, we would stand them up on their back, belly to belly, and pull the rear one forward and the front one backwards with straps, worked pretty well, although not the most aerodynamic thing in the world, haha, gota do what u gota do though
-
yea your gona have a tough time trying to buy ONE of anything.. if someone sells you 1 shock, then they have an extra one just sitting there collecting dust. you will probably have to buy a set of 2, they are cheap enough, i sold mine on ebay for $35 for both shocks... ill sell you a set of straight stock tie rods for $10 + shipping
-
yea get yourself some normal +2's and some cheap works shocks built for you, i picked up some triple rate at steelers, with remote rez's fdor under $600, couldnt be happier, they ride awesome and let you ride 10 times more agressive than before, and you dont have to worry about your belly bottoming out on everything,
-
you guys ride the hills on the side of route 6? see all the excavating they have done up there latley?
-
a big problem with that setup is that the front end is so low it doesnt really allow for much suspension travel before your belly is bottoming out on the ground, think about it, you have about half the travel in which to control the bumps/whoops that a banshee with proper a-arms and shocks built for it has, the banshee suspension travel is already limited enough by its geometry, by lowering it down like that, and makin it sit liek 5 inches off the ground, you dont have a whole lot of travel to absorb bumps before the frame is hitting ground, i would either get longer shocks, or ditch the whole setup and get some a arms and shocks built for it, those 450 front ends may look cute, but they dont function well, i lined up mine with zach45's front end, and with regular +2 arms, mine is just as wide as the 450 front end, but sits up high enough to have some suspension travel

i duno man, he did say he has a boost bottle, aluminum skidplate, and rejetted carbs... so 100mph+ is believeable
-
haha yep, like ragun said.. the fastest my banshee has ever gone was about 95mph.... in the back of my f150
-
wtf are u smoking?? you hit 96 and were still pulling? whats your gearing or was that kmh, hahah and this is "bansheehq" i think we have all seen a banshee before.. in fact i have a sneaking suspicion that alot of people here even OWN one,

yea maybe ill come up and check it out sometime, im always up for new trails, like i said the only reason we stopped goin here is because we always ended up on the same trails, none of us knew anywhere to go, were all jersey boys, and as long as you have an air box , you can go through water, but if you got PODs, forget about it -

yea see i dont know much about jessup, we wold park at the same place each time, and pretty much ride the same trails, sometimes we would get off the exit before jessup, "olyphant" and go up that steep hill and park behind the coal hills, do you know the ones im talkin about? you can see them on the side of rt6, we would ride there, and back acrosse the street up the hill behind the autobody, and then go up the mountain behind the jessup commercial center, or whatever that huge warhouse place is called, theres definatly some sweet trails up there if you go back in the woods, but like is aid nothin lie terverton, jessup is 90 miles for us, and treverton ins only 115, so thas another reason we dont go back to jessup anymore, lasttime i was at jessup, i cracked my a arm skid plate, bent my shifter, and had my kikckstarter fall off, all within the first hour.. its pretty rocky and nasty there...when you get your transportation issue figured out, you should checkout treverton, we can meet up, and ill show you around of what i know so far, its so big, we find a whole new area pretty much everytime we go, its wild up there -

hahah NO SHIT, you said JESSUP!!! thats the first place we ever rode in PA, jessup exit off rt 6, come to stop sight, go right, quick left into that huge waraehouse place, then follow the road all the way around back , down the hill, back up, and into that huge feild,, we used to go to jessup all the time, untill we found Treverton, ill tell you this... jessup would be like going to dorney park, and a shitty one at that, treverton is like disney world.. if you know what i mean... the trails at treverton are so much smoother, nicer, wider, and there 1000 times more ...its endless riding in all directions, go as far as your gas tank lets you... JEssup used to be fun,i was up there about 2 months ago, and they are tearing eveyrthing apart now, they demolished the whole side of that mountain, its nothin but open feilds of 3 foot deep ruts from dozers and earth movers, un rideable, and back behind the coal hills behind the autobody , on the side of rt6, they are starting on all those trails now, laying down gravel and grading them, puttin in sewer caps, they pretty much fucked it up, but im sure you locals know some more places to go, we went up to carbondale one day, that was kinda cool, hit the big coal hills there, but none of that shit compares to treverton/shamokin ect.... trust me, take the trip out west one day, and youll never wana ride at Jessup again -
yea it will make your front end sit very low, look at the red and white one in the picture above you, it sits very low in the front and the whole idea of duel rate spring is that it starts off with its softest spring rate and they get firmer as you go down, so even with dual rate, it would still be better than single rate of course, the beginning of the stroke would be soft for little bumps and rocks or whatever but then it gets stiffer the farther you cmpress it startss compressing the other springs, it really is nice to have more than a single rate spring
-
i say send your shock to someone like TCS, get it revalved and have a new spring put on it for your weight, i think they also do dual rate spring packages for the rear shock too. and in my opinion those 450 front ends are too low for trail riding, or jumping, they lower the bike down alot and dont leave much room for ground clearance or suspension travel
-
ill agree with that, they are shit, my friend had them on his raptor, they wore out in like 10 rides, the lugs are so small and flimsy, and like the other guys said too, he had like 10 plugs in each one, he would get a flat everytime we rode, stay away from the XCR's...... i have the GNCC's on right now, they hook up absolutley awesome, they wear OK (razrs wear alot better) and they are tough as nails, i have at least 10 rides on them and not one plug, and i ride nasty terrain, lot of rocks/coal, but to be honest, im probably switching back to razr2's for my next tires. unless they come out with something new, id like to see a razr3, same style knobs and side knobs as the razr 2 only a little bit farther spacing inbetween, would make them the best trail tire out there in my opinion, they are just a little too close together right now and it hurts traction and cleanout, but they wear gret and slide awesome, and are tough as hell
-
your GF on a 350 raptor is pulling on you?!? you got big problems, you should be destroying her in every gear , those 2 bikes arnt even in the same area code. ive ridden with a guy on one, we could all let him get 100 feet ahead of us up the road and eveyrone just flew by like he was standing still, if your bike is bone stock, and your live near sea leval, you sould be running around 220 main jet or so, one thing to definatly do is get rid of the stock air filter and get a proper setup where it clamps on with a hose clamp, either foam or k&n, so u dont suck dirt
-
a 15 tooth front sprocket for the trails...? your going the wrong way..
-
thats a tuning problem, thats not how all banshees are.. get your jetting dialed in and get the thing running right, and there should be NO bogging at all, i dont have any 'low end' mods at all, just the normal t5.vf3 and a k&n , i can poke my throttle anywhere in the revs and it goes, no bogging, even from barely moving. worry about gettin her tuned and running right first, then worry about mods,
-
ive run razr 2's and holeshot GNCC's on my banshee so far, the razr 2's definalty lasted longer with the firmer compound, they slide great, last a good amount of time, and hook up pretty good, i now have the GNCC"s all around, the compound is softer, but the rears hook up AWESOME.. and the guy talkin about popping your tires the first day.. whatd you get 4 ply tires and ride over broken glass and nails? my gncc's are 6 ply and i ride in HARSH terrain, coal, rocky terrain, and have yet to get a hole. the gncc's hook up AWESOME in all sorts of terrain, but definatley wear out alot faster than the razr's compond, so it depends on what you want, long life or traction, the split knob design on the holeshot allows for more traction, but faster wear,
-
my friend got one from rocky mountain a few weeks ago for his banshee, its 1/4 inch in the places you need it, and looks to be good quality aluminum, not that soft shit UM, DG and others use, but from what i have seen, PRM are the best on the market by far, they take so much abuse, and they cover the linkage too, PRM are definatly worth their price tag

This is for YOU, TurboBanshee420

hahahaha  rumor has it, that 400ex has a jet engine on it.. -
razr 2's are awesome, and will last long and are tough as nails as you saw, i run the GNCC's all around, the compound is just too soft for my type of riding though, they are taking a beating, but that center row knob design is awesome, it makes turning so much easier, i was a little skeptical about them at first, but took my friends advice and tried the center knob design, and they are awesome, i wouldnt get anything else now, turning and handing is awesome, id say get razr 2 fronts though, the tread will wear better
