  1. Don't forget to soak your fibers before installing them
  2. No the orings are not needed with the new clutch. Just use the fibers and steels
  3. go to your local hobby store and look in the Nitro powered RC car/plane section. They sell silicone fuel line in various colors and sizes. It is designed to hold up to nitro and meth, and i have used it for gas before with no issues. Used it not too long ago to fix my weed wacker. cheap and available
  4. Ive had great success with just straight up easy off. Used it cold no need to heat or anything. Used it to take the gold off all the rims on both my Honda ATC 250r. Cant imagine the yamaha anodizing is that much better, so unless easy off has pussed out and gone to a new green formula or something i bet it takes it right off. It does dull the aluminum a lot though, you will need to buff them out.
  5. easy off oven cleaner will pull the gold off the rims. then you are a polish job away from some nice shiney aluminum ones.
  6. 20 cc domes will not be what you want to run with pump gas on a 4 mil motor at sea level. My 4 mil fast dune ported stock cylinder motor with 19 cc domes kicked just over 190psi at sea level. Im thinking you will need to be in the 22-23 cc range to run pump safely but call kevin he will get you what you need
  7. Im going to say no fucking way. Ive built plenty of these things to know how fast the money piles up. Here is the thing the other guys arent considering. Pipes and carbs. You have pc pipes and stock carbs not gonna get 75 hp on a stock stroke with that
  8. Typically no a timing change wont require rejetting. Its always a good idea to check the plugs after any change though. Just for reference on compression my 4 mil dune ported bike with 19 cc domes kicked 190 psi at sea level on a tested accurate snap on gauge. 160 does seem low but it all depends on porting and squish size
  9. Sounds fucking awesome will be looking forward to trying them out
  10. The other thing to consider is a helmet light. I am going to grab one up i think. I have seen the trail tech HID but i think snopsynski made up some HID ones. I think that might be a great way to go, no matter where you are lookin you have light. No such thing as too much light
  11. I wasnt refering to your bike in my comment. I was looking at the bike with the lights on the bars. Nothing wrong at all with the way its done, just figured one roll over and they are wasted. Mine have survived a couple as they are completely below the bars. As far as the walmart lights go, im glad they have worked for you, however, i acquired a bike that came with a set and one of them fell apart within 200 yards of taking off for the first time. As far as the other lights go i could be wrong but i think matt was working on some LED lights, which would require a floated ground and battery conversion. That is the next move for me. I plan on running a small LED light bar along with 2 HIDs to reach out further. However i believe the OP said he is not interested in that route right now.
  12. I used a lazer star mount because i liked the lights layed down sideways. I was worried that with them sticking up like the pics above they would just break off the first time i dumped the bike. Only issue is that lazer star and trail tech use different threads on their stud mount lights. I just modifed the trail tech mounts to work.
  13. No no this is not minkia, if it was it would be wrapped in fake carbon fiber and would say in perfect working order even though the aforementioned motor is MIA.
  14. I know it is against all the drag racing rules to add weight, but if i was moving that fast on a bike that powerful, i think i would want to add front breaks. Then again i dont know if i would have the balls to ride it at all. LOL You could do spindle mounts with rotor mounts built in. probably wouldnt add all that much weight.
  15. Yup thats pretty much it. Depending on the quality and type of powder it can be a real bitch and may take a few coats but it will get it
  16. Figaro, you're killin me bro. I feel kind of bad as i think i steered you in the wrong direction. The only reason i recomended the lazer stars is that you said you liked the lights on my bike and you wanted the same. The lazer star bracket only accepts lazer star lights unless you modify the trail techs or the like. Had i known you were going to put them in the stock location I would have never recomended them as they are too expensive. Anyway it sounds as though you have it figured out hopefully you can return the lazer stars.
  17. shit in this economy, hes lucky to have gotten that. What a dumb fuck. could have had 50K in his pocket last year but wanted to be greedy and lost 20 oh well. Id still put that fucker together and put it in my living room. Bad ass
  18. Is Tim going to build your DM. Have him build it then get the bike properly set up and my guess is your buddy will not be outrunning you too often.
  19. And lots of lunatics to sample them. I always enjoy sitting on the outskirts and watching. Guaranteed you will say "What the Fuck" more than once on a good weekend. LOL
  20. You pretty much answered your own question. Who built it can determine if it runs good or runs great. Tuning and chassis set up are critical too. There are rediculously fast 350s out there. Just depends on builder tuner and rider
  21. Yeah you said you werent going then snuck in last minute LOL. Me you and Austin and chad should drive out there. Chad has that nice new toy hauler we can break in.
  22. Fucking bad ass, I have 83 and 86 ATc 250 r and they rock. I would love to buy this thing and assemble it and put it in my living room. But damn got to be a big baller to spend that kind of dough
  23. I think i have ADD cause i stare and stare at every one of wesw's posts yet i have no idea what they say. Your sig fucking rocks sir. As far as the HQ ride, It sounds like a kick ass time. Maybe this year will be the year. I think all of us CA guys should head out on a road trip
  24. oh snap, hows that foot taste. LOL
  25. Can the text books explain to me why huge areas of pismo that have been closed for well over 20 years now are still bare as fuck? The whole thing is tree hugger bullshit. Fuck the grass, fuck the trees, fuck the snowy plover, fuck the dust, fuck the noise, fuck the sea gulls, the sand is good for one thing, riding on.
