Daaamm thats crazy... But I might be in the same situation whith a blaster I just picked up cheap for my son. Going to redo the top end in the next couple of weeks because of the previous owners lack of sense.
Thanks Jeff.. My install has halted right now till the middle of this week. While torquing down the FAST head I snapped the #4 stud  Happend on the 3rd pass, didnt even get that stud to 15lbs. Picked up a few today and will continue tomorrow hopefully if I get out of work in time.
Yes it broke flush with the head. I read on here to pb blast the end of the stud and let it sit for a while, now when I use the vice grips which way does the stud turn to come out? Is it reverse threaded?
The one that broke is #4 in the torque pattern, where can I get replacement studs?
Thanks
:verymad: :verymad: Everything was going good with the install and than this happens.. I didnt get past 12lbs of tq on that stud than it broke flush with the top of the cool head, others went fine! What are my options guys?
Yeah I figured that.. Didnt see anything stating I needed to seal up the gaskets in the clymer. As for the needle setting jeff asked what pipes I was running which are T5's and some other questions about the bike which was that its bored .30 over.
Installing
TORS elimination kit
Boss racing intake
Noss/FAST heads w/21cc domes
K&N pods w/outterwears
Adj. Timing plate to +4
Magnum jet kit
1. The jet kit and Intake come with gaskets, now do I need to use any type of sealer when I install the gaskets?
2. I know I need to loctite the screws when I install the timing plate but do I need to loctite anything else like pilots or jets? What else?
3. Jeff at FAST told me to install the new needle in the 4th clip, does that mean the 4th slot from the flat end?
Thanks guys.. I'm sure I'll have other questions as Jeff's taking a trip today(dont want to bother him!)
Just broke my throttle cable and been wanting to buy a TORS elimination kit so now its time. Are there any big differences in the kits that are out there? I know some kits include the drill bit and tap which is the ones I'm looking at. I'm seeing them ranging from $50 - $90 online!
If anyone has an aftermarket pipe sitting around from their old blaster let me know the price and condition.. I'll take if off your hands if the price is right.
If there is anything you might need or want for computers, laptops, servers or printers I should be able to get you. Im looking for any aftermarket banshee parts like swing arms, A arms or what ever you might have just post.
I used SOS pads and Lime Away on my T5's with great results!! They were getting rust on the lower parts of the pipes going into the cases from the previous owner not taking care of them. After cleaning them I used some turtle wax chrome cleaner and protectant on the pipes and mothers polish on the silencers.. Bling Bling!!
