  1. As for the right side running sluggish make sure you reinstalled the tube that crosses over from one carb to the other.. Should be a tube linking the carbs together from the right side of the left carb to the left side of the right carb. That would def. cause that issue!
  2. I'm at sea level and when I ran my airbox with my T5's and Vf3's I was using 270's for mains and 25 pilots.
  3. PM sent and also an email to your AOL account for pics..

    Hot Rods Crank

I need a stock stroke crank pref. hot rods/weisco in good condition and low hours. Trued and welded a plus.
  5. Bring the timing back to where it was at and see how it runs.. What oil ratio are you running? Dont know why advancing your timing would make it run like that as myself and others are running @ +4 also. Sounds like its starving for fuel! Good luck... BTW.. Nice banshee!! How did it do against all the other quads (4 strokes) in your races, are you running a stock stroke and are the cylinders ported? I love hearing about banshees still racing at the tracks! Good luck with the new one.
  6. Interested in the crank.. Shoot me a pm with a price and overal condition and hours on it.
  7. Let me know if they become available again.
  8. I sent you a PM with my e-mail.. Looking to see some pics, interested at the momemt!
  9. If the frames been painted, take fine sand paper or paint remover to clean that spot off. My frame numbers were under the painted frame when I bought mine. The numbers are very lightly stamped so look close iunless it's been grinded off.
  10. Yeah I ride mostly woods, trails with the occasional open area runs. I think I'll stay with the stock stroke and see what a good port job will do. With a fresh top and bottom end along with a aggressive trail port will def wake it up. The guy doing the port job recommends going down to 20cc domes instead of the 21's im running now and also lightening the flywheel. 94 octane is the highest I can get here so he's saying it should be fine.
  11. Update** Finally took it apart and what a mess! Looking close at the minced piston you can see something that looks like brass/copper shavings stuck into it and the same color dust all over the place. After seeing that I figured it was a bearing. Once I pulled the cylinders off I notice its the lower rod bearing on the crank. The cylinder looks pretty good and the next size bore should take care of the little small nicks. I'm sending out the cylinders to get bored, ported and honed but what should I do for the crank? Just go with a hot-rods welded crank or should I be thinking about getting a 4mill stroker since im already needing a crank? WHAT A MESS!!! :verymad: Here's some pics showing the damage..
  12. Trick2Stroke Fastrthnu Watts Do yous have any pics of your bikes with the wheels on it? I'm trying to see how beefy they are. Are yous running the 18" or 20"?
  13. So what do you recommend for MX and trails? I'm running pure sports for front and back and I just cannot hook at all in the dirt! On the street its a beast but that aint helping.. I just looked up the Holeshot XC's 20" and like what I see.. While at it I'll be replacing the rear rims, what size is the best to run other than stock size or is the stock size a good choice?
  14. Will these wheels fit stock rear rims? Holeshot MXR4 18x10-9... Are they good for trails? Whats the difference between the 10x9 and 10x8, is it the width? Which one would be better?
  15. I know I have something fucked in there I just hope my noss head/domes arent ruined! What do you guys reccomend for parts as far as crank(brand either stock size or what), bearings, piston kit? I was told its bored 30 over and am sure I will need to rebore so does that mean go to 40 over?
  16. Yes it was warmed up correctly before the last shut down. Im really hoping it is only the top end and will know for sure this weekend. I'll get some pics for everyone so I can get a better understanding of what needs to be done from you pro's.
  17. Jared, thanks.. The transmission seems fine as I can go from neutral moving thru the gears. I was guessing the bearing was shot or top end. I wanted to do the top end this summer anyways but looks like I'll be doing more than just that. If I did blow a bearing would it be a good idea to just get a aftermarket crank and rebuild both bottom and top? I only owned it for a few months and dont know if its the original. ::
  18. This weekend my son and I took out the bikes for some trail riding. Everything was going good till my banshee just shut down while riding. Went to kick start it and the kicker was locked solid! I thought my gear box was fucked cause my son missed a gear a couple of times but thats not it, I can change the gears. What the hell could be locked up in there? I had to head out for business for the week and will not be able to tear it down till next weekend but wanted to know where I should start off looking for the problem. :shoothead:
  19. Resize the pics in MS Paint and save it. Or use photobucket which will size them up!
  20. I had the same problem and it turned out to be the choke tube wasnt connected between the two carbs. Check that and also the slides arent in backwards.
  21. 12 Unifilters including the K&N?
  22. Brian if you can start accumilating the parts for another set with NOSS tie rod ends I'll take it.. Will Shoot you a pm! Ruck
