if anyone does show up, we will be at the far end of the lake bed. Gonna be a very large group, our trailer will have a flag pole with a blue light on it at night. This is what the truck and trailer look like. This is what the signs look like that will lead you to us, kinda..... -
the other one won't let me, it is copyright protected. i like the first except the seat cover is not included... without the seat cover it's worthless...

the link is not working for me right now either. If this one doesn't work then go to google and search for " blm johnson valley map" and click on the first sub link. http://www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/fo/barstow/johnson.html -
what days or day are you going to be at el mirage? I may bring my trailer out.

http://www.blm.gov/ca/barstow/johnson.html thats a good site and should help out. Normally i camp at soggy dry lake but this weekend is anderson dry lake. On the map we will be at the "D" in anderson "dry" lake. -
make sure your choke balance hose is on all the way, mine did the exact same thing and it wasn't tight. Also, sync your carbs.

07 classics are readily available everywhere... Also right now there are $2500 in rebates for the 2500hd's with LBZ's.

Just got a banshee very hard to start
KX4FIFSHEE replied to 03sheerider's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
take the time to clean the carbs and sync them as well. I just did it on mine and it fires up first kick, i kid you not. It did similar to what yours is doing. -
i see silver so i'm guessing a babin suit.

air screw, cant figure it out! please help
KX4FIFSHEE replied to banshee 4 me's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
the instructions that came with my K&N kit said to set it up at 2.5 turns, thats weird. -
thats funny firehead, ya being a duramax tech i spent a lot of time on there talkign to people and yes there are quite a few idiots. So what did you learn? I did not want to read the whole thing. I am enjoying learning about the new dodges, Cummins is number 1 in my book but thats all dodge has, just ,my opinion. So please, tell us what you learned.

Installed lights, now won't run
KX4FIFSHEE replied to Olds Eddie's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
maybe bulbs require too much, dual 35 watts are max. -
it looks liek you are in between the chevy / GMC or dodge (leaning more towards dodge). So if you have time read through this and see if there is any good info. http://dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=136724

i use castor 927 because it smells good. I was advised by a few riders that have a ton of experience that castor is bad.... they say golden spectro is THE oil to use. It doesn't smell as good so i run the castor 927. Any oil will be good as long as your mixture is good with your current jetting. Just my opinion....

Ok heres an update. Came home from work and noticed the choke hose was disconnected. Put it on correctly and i barely kicked it over and it fired up, honestly one sissy kick and it was on. I about shit myself. Both cylinders very even and revved very nice. My chick even came out and said it sounded way better. Unfortunately i could not ride it so i don't know if the low end bog is fixed..... Heres what i think happened..... Pulled carbs off 1 by one, put back on correctly but out of sync..... finally fired up and after i had taken the carbs off numerous times i left the choke tube off the last time which is why 1 cylinder was smoking and the other wasn't.... i guess. Thing fires up way better then before so i am "assuming" i had crap built up in the pilots. Based on my readings that would make this hard to start AND a low end bog. So thanks go out to all of you for kicking advice my way. I actually learned a lot about my new shee because of your replies. Thank You.

i agree with this statement, however.... dodge still doesn't have a proven transmission. Only time will tell. Cummins is a very well known name and is of great quality. The fords are built by navistar which is owned by international. And yes they still do have the horrible bolt set up.... Engine wise i rate it like this......best to worst Cummins Duramax Poop Powerstroke Engine and tranny combos in this order Duramax / Allison Cummins / New 6 speed whatever it is Runny / Poops Powerstroke / Ferd 5 speed

i'm sorry it's the 23rd 24th and 24th. We will be there late on the 23rd. I also need somewhere to go on the 31st and 1st..... lemme know if there are any get togethers or anything. -
We will be on anderson dry lake bed with a bunch of people. If anyone is interested let me know and i'll post up pics of my truck and trailer. We'll have trailer trash shirts as well if anyone wants one. We are actually running low so this may be the last weekend that we have them for free.

int shaft is between steering column and steering gear. Yota is supposed to have a diesel coming out sometime as well. I'm guessing a year from now it will be available. that should be killer. i heard they were questioning the use of a duramax as well. May have been a rumor but it wouldn't be a bad idea.... As for the car salesman... good luck with that. That would be a very interesting conversation to follow
-
cool, just send me a pm and i'll give you my cell. As for the alignment issues.... i don't see them. i am the diesel tech so i stick with heavy line and the diesels. I rarely see anything on the alignment rack but i am not confirming nor denying there is an issue with the front suspension, to my knowledge it works and holds up great. There is however 1 issue they DO have. Intermediate shaft. You will get a clunk felt through the steering wheel. there is a new updated shaft that is supposed to fix this completely though. What you could do is just go around and test drive then come to me and test drive and see what we offer you. It should be less then all the others. However, once you start working on a price it is very hard to leave. i know how salesman are. Also, please do not consider me a salesman. I work on the duramax's and thats it. I would like to help my dealer in any way because another sale is another tally on the board and just makes us look better. Just remember you are the one driving it and you are the one paying for it so get EVERYTHING you want. I just want you to be able to know everything we have to offer compared to the other guys. And to be honest. If you asked for a gas truck i would recommend the new tundra. HANDS down, looks like the best truck available right now (gas).

there is a lot of hatred on this site towards trinity racing. I have always heard great things about trinity and i'm just wondering why this site is so anti trinity....
-
Also, if youa re serious about test driving and seeing i recommend at least try out the GMC. I'm at a GMC dealer, if you want i can give you my cell phone number and meet up with you there. I'll walk with you up to the front and tell the salesman you're a good buddy of mine.... give you no bullshit, test drive the truck and give you the 1 smokin low price.... no bullshiting.
