I just had the same problem while adding a stator... I used a 3 way puller and a hand torch. Heat the shaft untill you see it looking like its burning and use the gear puller and a hammer. Tighten the gear puller tight and wack the corners of the fly wheel with the hammer, the hammer impact with the pulling force with the heat will pop it free. I bought a new fly wheel off ebay for 45.00 and lightened it for 50.00. Oh becareful with the heat it could (not likely) burn your stator. I replaced that too w/ timing advance all in 1. When adding the flywheel put anti-sieze(for spark plugs) on the shaft and it won't stick again. YOU NEED A NEW FLYWHEEL! Dante.

I don't agree with that because I just called Sunoco and the engineer said the fuel would have been fine, and look at the oiling system on the ATV. I just found out the bike hit something about 5 mins before the motor locked up. The driver hit a 4x4 pole and snapped it off (that could have messed up the oiling system). Or it could have been just low on oil...
