1/4" pipe thread plugs. 1/4-18 You can get them at Orchard supply if they have on of those where you live. You need them to be flat or counter sunk as Dave was saying so look for the allen head ones or some have a straight blade screw driver slot also. You need 4 of them.

Do you have a builder or person you are buying all these parts from? Or just getting parts from whoever is cheapest and trying to slam it all together? Seems this build has been giving you hell. I learned on my last motor that its so much easier having someone in your corner than trying to rely on what info you get on the internet.

yea my stock crank and stock gears didnt need it. My billet crank and straight cuts leaked like crazy......just depends what combo you run.....doesnt hurt anything to put some sealer on anyway.

Yes, I even use more than a thin coat...its good to get it around the keyway also.

Yes they are gravity feed carbs....they will work fine without the pump.....I bought the pump with intentions on trying to run a pump on gravity feed carbs for extra long pulls but never used it.....thats why its still new in the package.

These carbs have been around the block lol.......They used to be mine and Houdini bought them from me and didnt use them and ebay'd them and I guess JD ended up with them......I can vouch for these carbs working great and have no issues at all. They have ran on a 443 cub and 392 cub and worked great. They were originally setup by Nate. Good luck on the sale JD.

I have them on my bike....they ride pretty nice and handle the whoops pretty well....i pretty much just drag race though...i had to wait for almost a year to see a set pop up for sale used......
