  1. little 3-5 pull letting off to shift. I forgot how much time you lose when you gotta clutch to shift. override ftw. https://youtu.be/H_ao4tr09ZA
  2. who likes boring as hell shaky video? me neither. But that's all i got yesterday. At the end of the pull in the end i had coolant pouring the hole right behind the radiator hole on the clutch cover. So there went the water pump gasket. It was a new Tusk gasket but i didnt put rtv. Going run and get some RTV after lunch. I'm glad i have a new water pump gasket laying around too.
  3. Looks damn good for just taping it up and rattle canning it. Keep on doing your thing. Just keep some spare change for when the motor needs a new top end or worse. Things wear out. I spray painted my bike years ago. It worked well for a long time and i beat the crap out of it. It was made to ride, not win a show trophy.
  4. Lots of people helped me with my build as well. It took a couple years, lots of post, lots of pm's but it was done right the first time. Saved lots of money in the long run not doing things two and three times. That's why I am a supporting member.
  5. They can be found new on eBay for around $50. Make sure someone has one and it opens the carbs you have. For example they won't open 39's.
  6. I had about 40min on my LED's before one went out. And that's with a ac/DC converter and the lights off 99% of the time. Cheap China crap.
  7. I got about much into my play bike 521 ss. Someone is gonna get a hell of a deal. free bump.
  8. With the screw up I had last year from a vendor, Elka took great care of me. I wouldn't hesitate to send the shocks to then if buying then paying to redo them is cost effective.
  9. Looks like a nice bike to me. Get the front suspension figured out and enjoy riding it.
  10. this. http://www.theoilhub.com/images/prod/244974_KL_101_KLOTZ_OIL_2_cycle_Super_Techniplate_Racing_Oil_Oil_2_cycle_Gallon_each.jpg
  11. Run that in my 109/57 pump gas serval. The and some root beer fuel fragrance. I ran it in my old flotek 4mil as well.
  12. Black frame....that seems common. But I liked mine when I painted the frame black. It was subtle and oem looking to the average person.
  13. I think the longest 521 Ss build record is about 2 1/2 years from start to firing it up in a finished chassis. So you got time.
  14. Now I wish Ida had some LED's made for my ss. Way to go guys....
  15. I'd recommend running silencers that silence better than shearer. I putt putted for a half tank today and my ears were ringing. Maybe I'll ride without my purse next time to see if it helps and man up.
  16. You mean put some gold anodized parts on the bike to bring out the gold?
  17. Went run a half tank before the rain started again. These are the last pics ill post until something major cosmetically happens. http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff111/raguncajun/6-12-16%204_zpsoplou0mw.jpg http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff111/raguncajun/6-12-16%203_zpspnvqlxki.jpg http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff111/raguncajun/6-12-16%202_zps0a6a8ror.jpg http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff111/raguncajun/6-12-16%201_zps4wbs8zb4.jpg Ill start beating on it after i finish off the tank next weekend. I plan to order some different silencers. The ones they have on here are very very loud. But that isnt too big of a deal. I also dont find the brakes work that great. Only thing used(read as from my old build) is the rear caliper and rear line. I dont find the front nor back grab that hard. Ah well. Maybe it's because the rotors and pads are new and need to be broken in.
  18. I'd like 6 easy Springs if it won't mess up my clutch if that's what you mean
  19. I went ahead and shorten it and that did the trick. I also installed a new clutch cover gasket because I had a puddle on my garage floor. That's what I get for reusing it. Called my folks and it's pouring down there. So no riding today. edit* leak was the cover on the bottom screw of the plate on the front. It's where you have to grind the nubs off to clear the lockup. I cleaned the threads, put a lot of locktite and throw some RTV on the back side. Hopefully it holds. I've never had a problem leaking there in years of doing it. If all else fails, ill epoxy it.
  20. It's my first time with a round style carrier but the essential is all the way in the back(which is all the way tight) . I'll put it toward the front and see if I can overlap The chain
  21. Figured I'd ask while at work. Does my chain seem too loose? It's all the way tight in the adjuster. I'm afraid if i take another link out, it will be too tight. http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff111/raguncajun/DSC02125_zpshugfjjaa.jpg I plan to go ride after work so I will shorten the chain when I knock off for lunch. Gotta run a whole tank of fuel before I can beat on her. Hopefully that doesn't take long.
  22. 521 ss. All of them. My old flotek 4mil used one in each slot with 3hd springs/3 regular. My lockups are set up not to slip. Not for 60'. Plus I like a light lever.
  23. the stage 3's which are now the legacy i believe.
